I am a 1st year University of Cambridge Modern & Medieval Languages (French & German) Undergraduate student with a keen interest in literature (both foreign and English) and economics (mainly financial markets). I studied Economics, French, German and Russian at A-level and really enjoyed this combination. I am an avid reader, a travel enthusiast and a passionate linguist. I have taught many subjects at GCSE level in the past, however, I now prefer to specialise in teaching English and foreign languages, more precisely French and German, as well as Economics, for students of any age and level. My typical lesson duration is 1-1.5 hours, but I like to customise my teaching methodology and lesson length in accordance with my students' academic/personal goals. Hi there! I’m Maria and I'm a 3rd year Maths student at the University of London (UCL). With over 4 years of tutoring experience, I focus on a holistic, engaging and student-centric approach to teaching, whilst sharing my passion and love for learning! Understanding a topic is one thing but understanding what the examiners are looking for can sometimes be a whole other issue. Using my experience, I tailor my lessons to the student’s needs to help them achieve both, whilst utilising my extensive bank of exam questions to guide the student with worked examples and build their confidence. I also share effective learning strategies and tips that make learning enjoyable and easier. This has helped many of my students achieve top grades and personally helped me achieve 10 9’s at GCSEs and 3 A*’s at A-Level/Pre-U in Maths, Further Maths and Economics. Hence, I specialise in teaching these subjects for students of all levels and ages. As well as cracking the code to exam technique, I am happy to mentor students applying for UCL. I am confident I can make a difference having excelled in the admissions exams as well as acing interviews in an empathetic and charismatic manner in order to receive offers from UCL, Cambridge, Oxford, and Imperial. In my free time, I am an avid chess player and sports and music enthusiast. I hope to instil that same ambition and belief in my students that they too can excel in their academics whilst doing what they enjoy! Hi there! I’m Charlie, an 18 year old currently studying Philosophy and Russian at the University of Oxford but was educated for five years at Eton College.
