I am a self motivated tutor who strives to ensure that a student grasps concepts that are essential to pass exams and for use in real world application. I have 2 years experience of private tutoring GCSE and A level Maths, Statistics and Accounting for all exam boards. I take a patient approach to my teaching style in making sure that a student understands even the most complex ideas. I am very engaging in my lessons and use real life examples that make learning easier and enjoyable. I am very familiar with my learning material as I have been studying Mathematics and Accounting for the greater part of my life. I will be sure to answer any questions regarding areas of specialisation in these subjects. I attained 13As and 1B at GCSE. I studied five subjects at A-Level namely, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Accounting and Further Mathematics and achieved grade A in all the subjects. I graduated from Heriot-Watt University with a BSc in Actuarial Science. This course did delve more into the world of Mathematics, Statistics and Probability. Owing to my passion for accounting as well, I studied a joint programme for Accounting and Taxation with ICAEW(Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales). Teaching for me started as charity work as I did help some students study for their GCSE and A level Maths exams and they did extremely well in their exams. This gave me great joy and the drive to explore more into the world of teaching.

Need a Statistics Tutor to Help Your Child Succeed?

GCSE Statistics can become difficult when students begin working with probability, data interpretation and multi-step calculations at the same time. Many parents start searching for a GCSE Statistics Tutor when revision feels unstructured or when their child starts losing confidence before exams.

It is not always easy to know what type of support will help most. Some families look for a statistics tutor near me, while others prefer an online statistics tutor for greater flexibility and access to experienced subject specialists across the UK. One to one support can help students improve problem-solving skills, understand statistical methods more clearly and approach exam questions with greater confidence.

Many students also benefit from support in related analytical subjects. For example, a GCSE Business Studies Tutor may help students strengthen data interpretation and evaluation skills, while gcse maths tuition can support students with calculations and numerical reasoning used throughout Statistics. Some students also work with an economics tutor gcse because Economics and Statistics often overlap through graphs, percentages and data analysis.

Online lessons allow tutors to adapt sessions around the student’s weaker areas and pace of learning. Some students need more support with probability and averages, while others focus more on interpreting charts and applying formulas correctly. Students interested in essay-based and analytical subjects sometimes also explore support from a gcse sociology tutor.

Many students preparing for exams strengthen revision by working through GCSE Statistics Past Papers alongside tutoring sessions. Families comparing subjects and long term academic pathways also often review broader gcse options and discussions around the hardest gcses before making decisions.

A practical next step for many families is to find a statistics tutor who matches the student’s learning style and academic goals.
