Hi, I’m Sunshine! I’m a Medical student studying at King’s College London. I have been tutoring for the last 5 years, progressing from freelance to working professionally within a sixth form during my gap year. Currently, I’m pursuing my 4th Year of Medicine, where I am working towards a First Class. I am thrilled to mention that I have been selected as a Faculty 50 Ambassador as well as been awarded with the Worshipful Company of Barbers' Prize in my university. Also, I am proud to say, regardless of the disruption of my education due to COVID-19, I am one of the highest achievers from Secondary/ Sixth Form, achieving A*-As in my GCSE and A-level studies and securing a spot at King’s College London. My achievements show my level of dedication across all my academic phases. I hope to aid my students towards a path filled with not only academic, but also personal achievement. In my previous role as a Post-16 Mentor, I had administrative, mentoring and tutoring responsibilities, in which I attended to with a strong multi-tasking ability. Helping students complete their UCAS applications imposed an interesting challenge, whereby I carefully navigated with great time-management. I assisted in their UCAS applications by providing personal statement 1-1 sessions, mock interviews and even helped them find unique work experience. I am very proud that many of my students attained high A-Level grades and secured spots studying subjects such as Medicine, Comp-sci, Economics and Engineering at Top Russell Group Universities. Furthermore, I mentored many students to ensure they had solid study skills that wouldn't just aid them in their A-level studies but help them during university. I am a very committed individual who tailors their sessions according to the student preferences. As a Tutor, I specialise in teaching Biology and Sociology. From my previous tutoring role, I am trained in specification specific teaching and marking, therefore I can offer sessions to perfect a student’s knowledge regarding content, planning and answering questions to their exam board’s specification. Additionally, I plan to offer extra external handmade resources to my students, which can be used outside my tutoring hours. This can range from notes, exemplar answers, flashcards and many others. In my role, I aim to support my students in their academic needs, not just during session time but in their overall time with me. Overall, I am a tutor who will strive to instil a fostering environment where my students will thrive academically and personally! I am excited to meet my future students and their parents. If you would like to know a little bit more about me, my teaching methods and my session outline, do not hesitate to contact me or book a free trial session !

Hi! I am Daniel - a medical student studying at Imperial College London. I have been tutoring for over 4 years now at 2 different centres and really developed a passion for this career. From the past, students have described my lessons as engaging, visual with images and exam question heavy. From my experience at GCSE receiving 11 grade 9s and A*’s at A level, I have applied my personal revision techniques into my teaching as one thing I have witnessed is top grades is not only about learning the content but actually more about exam technique. And as your tutor I will helping your child master BOTH of these with some tricks I used in exams to get the highest mark on Biology in my school for A level. In terms of how my lessons are structured, it would be very dynamic based on the students needs where I would message them for their specification point they want covered in the lesson the day before, allowing me to prepare images and questions I will use in the lesson. I would also set homework and these would be aligned exactly with their specification which would make sure they have mastered that topic. Furthermore to this, I am happy with mentoring students that are applying to medicine having been through the rigorous process myself and giving my tips and tricks for admissions exams (BMAT and UCAT) as well as interviews, having received offers from Imperial, UCL and Cambridge Summer pool. If you have any questions and want to know more about my lessons or myself, please feel free to message me and I will work with your student to fulfill the maximum they can achieve.

Need a Biology Tutor to Help Your Child Succeed?

Biology often starts becoming more difficult when students move beyond memorising facts and begin applying scientific knowledge to unfamiliar questions, data analysis and extended written answers. Topics such as genetics, immunity and cell biology can feel especially overwhelming once exams require deeper explanation and stronger scientific vocabulary.

At this stage, many families begin exploring extra academic support outside school. Some choose a GCSE Biology tutor for subject-specific revision, while others compare support from an A Level Science tutor or a Chemistry tutor online when students are balancing multiple science subjects together.

Clear explanations, structured revision and regular exam practice often help students feel more confident approaching Biology assessments.

Online Biology tutoring usually starts from around £25-£30 per hour, depending on the tutor’s experience and the student’s level. GCSE lessons are often slightly lower in cost than advanced sixth-form support. Many families comparing support options look at tutor experience, exam-board familiarity and lesson structure before deciding to find a tutor that suits their child’s academic goals and learning style.
