Hi, I’m Iseabhail! I’m currently an undergraduate student at the University of St Andrews studying French, Arabic, and Persian. I achieved A*s in both French and English Literature at A-Level, as well as an 8 in French, and a 9 in English Literature at GCSE. I’ve focused on building a strong academic foundation that is rooted in a deep love for Literature and Modern Languages which allows me to communicate complex ideas clearly. Through my experience as a Class Rep for Persian at university, I advocate for fellow learners and bring leadership and communication directly to my tutoring. Hello, I'm Isla! I recently graduated from Durham University with a first-class degree in Biological Sciences. During my second and third years at university, I formally tutored students at various levels up to A-Levels. I greatly enjoy teaching and have been doing informal tutoring throughout my educational journey from GCSEs. I am keen to help students understand, engage with, and enjoy the content they are learning! I tutored Biology A-Level during my university years. My teaching style focuses on question-and-answer methods, with exam and study questions helping further enhance the student's knowledge of the subject, which helped me achieve 8/9s in GSCE science subjects and an A* in A-Level Biology. During my work experience and while volunteering for a SHINE project, I worked with younger kids (KS2) to provide English lessons. I immensely enjoyed teaching this subject and am enthusiastic about English. I obtained an English Literature scholarship for my A-level education, achieved an A* for English Literature A-level, and am spending my current year after my university degree working on a novel. I would love to help any student find a passion for creative writing or analysis of literature, which allows them to prepare before they go into KS3 or GCSEs. In my free time, I work on a fiction novel, sew, or hike in the wilderness. I am interested in mycology, spending lots of time looking for and identifying various fruiting fungi, and zoology, enjoying any time spent with animals! I started my tutoring journey by setting up my own online tutoring company, beginning with just one client. Hi, I’m Alfie — a recent Classics graduate from the University of Manchester with a deep love of language, literature, and big ideas. I tutor in Latin, Ancient Greek, English, and Religious Studies. I studied Latin at both GCSE and A-Level (achieving an A in each), before reading Classics at the University of Manchester, where I graduated with a 2:1. At university, I focused heavily on mastering Classical Languages — Latin and Ancient Greek — and even studied at the Novum Vivarium in Rome, a renowned school where all instruction is delivered entirely in spoken Latin. Alongside my language studies, I developed a strong interest in the cultural, literary, and philosophical dimensions of the ancient world — interests which naturally extend into English and Religious Studies. I’ve hosted a podcast with Luke Ranieri, one of the world’s foremost scholars in modern spoken Latin, where we explored topics ranging from grammar to deeper questions about meaning and tradition. I’ve now been tutoring for over a year across various platforms. My teaching style is grounded in curiosity and collaboration: I like to ask open-ended questions and guide students toward figuring things out for themselves. Hi I'm Esme Rose Mathialahan, and I'm a third year undergraduate at the University of York studying English Literature. I am in my second year studying Maths and Philohophy at the University of Warwick.
