Hello, my name is Hafsah and I'm a recent graduate in Medical Genetics from Queen Mary University of London and I would love to be your tutor. Outside of tutoring I enjoy reading, painting and deepening my knowledge in biology. As a tutor with a passion for teaching I believe that confidence is a huge factor in attaining high grades as well as succeeding in life. Instilling self-confidence in a student is one of my main goals when tutoring a student as I believe it leads to love for learning. Hello Everyone, I’m Netra and I am currently a 5th year medical student undergoing a bachelor’s in medicine and surgery at the University of Manchester. I have also completed an intercalated master’s degree in Tissue Engineering for Regenerative Medicine (Msc), for which I have won the Wolfson Award, awarded by the Royal College of Physicians. Previously, I undertook A levels in Maths, Chemistry and Biology in which I received A* A* A. I have had 5 years of teaching students, both informally as a mentor during sixth form and formally as a private tutor. I tutor in Biology, Chemistry and Maths for all ages up until GCSE. My lessons are normally 1 hour and are tailored to encourage an interest in science and enhance fun in learning. I have enjoyed studying sciences over the years, but I understand how frustrating and confusing it can be. As such, my aim is to tutor students in maths and sciences in an easy-to-understand and concise approach, whilst encouraging curiosity and enthusiasm for science! Hello! I’m Koby and am an honours graduate from the University of Cambridge with a background in natural sciences and medicine. With over 7 years of tutoring experience, I focus on a holistic, engaging and student-centric approach to teaching, whilst sharing my passion and love for learning! Understanding a topic is one thing but understanding what the examiners are looking for can sometimes be a whole other issue. I have been a Private Tutor for the last 9 years, tutoring students who have been finding their GCSE and A-Level curriculum difficult. Overall, I have taught more than 100 students over the last 9 years and helped them achieve their desired grades and university. If you have the passion and desire to do well in your studies, I will help you achieve it regardless of your current grades. I have an Honours Degree from Imperial College London for BEng Joint Maths and Computer Science. I have also achieved A*A*A*A in my A-Level for Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computer Science as well as 8A*s, 3As and 1B in my GCSEs. Lesson Structure: My online lessons mainly happen through Microsoft OneNote. Every OneNote notebook I have for a student keeps track of the following three parts: - a curriculum checklist to make sure our lessons are kept on track, - lesson notes to keep track of everything we worked on together, and - mini-mock exams to help students get used to exam situations. I keep my lesson from 1 to 2 hours, where we use the first 30 mins to cover anything you need help with immediately. For the rest of the lesson, we work on topics that you have found challenging/difficult, making sure we are on top of everything covered in school. If we have managed to cover all of those topics, we move on to topics that will be covered in school. This will help give the student a head start and stay ahead of your class, which will help make school lessons easier. Furthermore, I like to keep students on track with their independent studying outside of our lessons by giving mini-mock exams approximately every 2 months (given we do lessons twice a week). These mini-mock exams help students get acclimatised to exam situations and provide motivation for students to do independent studying outside school and our private lessons. Each mini-mock contains exam-style questions with a couple of difficult/tricky questions to help students prepare for the worst-case scenario when it comes to the actual exam they will be sitting. If needed, I provide proper mock exams to help recreate an exam situation to help students gauge their shortcomings and help them improve themselves.
