Find Your Perfect A-Level Politics Tutor

Hi! I’m a friendly, enthusiastic and academically driven tutor who is passionate about helping students build confidence and achieve their goals. I achieved an A* in A Level Politics, an A in A Level Geography, and Grade 9s in GCSE Religious Studies, Spanish, English Literature, English Language and Geography. Alongside my academic achievements, I have developed strong communication, debating and leadership skills through attending the international session of the European Youth Parliament and chairing several Model United Nations conferences. These experiences have strengthened my ability to explain ideas clearly, think critically and engage with different perspectives. I use exam-board specifications, past papers, mark schemes and proven exam techniques to make lessons engaging and closely aligned with what students need to succeed. I tailor each session to the student, whether they need help understanding content, improving essay structure, mastering exam technique or pushing towards the highest grades. Outside academics, I enjoy playing badminton and staying engaged with politics and current affairs. I aim to make every lesson supportive, interactive and enjoyable, while helping students make real progress.

Experienced and supportive tutor with several years of experience helping students improve their confidence, understanding and exam performance. I tailor lessons to each student’s needs and use clear explanations, targeted practice and personalised feedback. I have successfully helped a student progress from a Grade B to an A* at A level through focused, individualised support.

Hi! I'm Stella, and I just graduated with a Master's degree from Queen's College, University of Oxford. At GCSE, I achieved all grades A/A*/8/9, including 9s in English Literature, English Language, and History, and an 8 in Mathematics. At A-Level, I achieved grades A*/A*/A in English Literature, Government and Politics, and Art and Design, which led me to receive an unconditional offer to study at the University of Birmingham. I graduated from Birmingham with a First-Class Honours BA in American and Canadian Studies, which involved writing First-Class essays on literature, history, politics, and art history. I was also the sole recipient of the Brian Harding Prize for excellence in my field. At Oxford, I was awarded the George Oakes Scholarship for American Studies on the merit of my application and undergraduate writing samples, meaning that my studies were funded. During my Master’s, I completed Distinction-graded essays in literature, poetry, and philosophy, achieving a high Merit overall. Outside of academia, I have worked in gallery and museum outreach, through which I have years of experience patiently and enthusiastically teaching young people about the humanities and supporting them to feel knowledgeable and confident. As someone who went to state school and then received a scholarship to study at Oxford, I am very motivated to continue to support others!

Hi, I’m Dylan, a PPE student at Durham University, offering tutoring in Maths, Economics, Politics and Religious Studies. I achieved an A* in A-level Economics, A's in Maths and Politics. I have experience informally tutoring friends and family through GCSE content and helping them prepare for assessments. In Maths and Economics, I break calculations and diagrams into clear, manageable stages before helping students attempt questions independently. In Politics, I focus on understanding key ideas, structuring arguments, using evidence and developing evaluation. I adapt sessions to each student’s exam board, confidence and areas of difficulty, while keeping lessons relaxed, structured and focused on genuine progress. Outside university, I play guitar in a band and work part time at a bird park.

Hi! My name is Sahdev and I am a passionate and engaging tutor specialising in 11+ preparation and A level economics, politics and geography. I pride myself in being a clear and effective communicator who can break down complex topics into simple explanations that are easy to understand. My teaching style is interactive and tailored to each student’s needs as I look to help them build confidence as well as knowledge. Hi, I am Andrew, an LSE student reading history. I am a strong believer that anyone who has the right guidance and a way into a topic or subject can achieve the very best grades. Similarly, with universities I believe that my experience of getting an offer at London’s best university (8 applications per place), according to the Complete University Guide and The Times, shows the strength of my approach. As a fully qualified Tennis Coach I have considerable experience in coaching people and in communicating effectively with people, all of whom learn in different ways. Coaching tennis has taught me important time management skills, when balancing that with academic work. I achieved 10 A* at GCSE (5 at Grade 8; 5 at Grade 9) and achieved 2 A* in History and in Economics and an A in Politics at A Level. I am particularly keen to help A Level Economics student who may struggle with the longer essay response questions, especially if they come from a STEM background where essays are not the norm for assessment. I am also interested in helping A Level History and Politics students. Likewise, I feel that I have much to offer GCSE students in Geography and History where I achieved two grade 9s. Moreover, I am also happy to help with university applications and to offer guidance over which course is best suited. I am happy to adapt to whichever learning style suits you best. My experience with coaching and three years tutoring has helped me to become very adaptable.

I’m an incoming UCL Undergraduate on one of the most prestigious language courses in the world. I received A*AAA in my A-Levels, the three As being single digits below the A* grade boundary, including a 99% score in my spanish speaking exam and a 96% score in my french speaking exam. I would love to help other young students during this stressful time to take advantage of my up-to-date current affairs and essay writing knowledge, as well as the tried and tested revision methods I have learnt, which I believe are invaluable given the lack of language resources across schools in the U.K. I would focus on a student centric teaching style, incorporating much active recall for optimised learning. For Politics; we would work collaboratively to analyse recent political events and incorporate these into detailed essay plans, for Spanish and French; focussing heavily on spoken content revision and speaking technique, as well as working through resources to improve vocabulary bases and essay writing at both A-Level and GCSE. I would also be happy to mark any work completed outside of sessions and go through these together. I am eager to understand what your specific needs are, and how I can ease the burden of examinations and revision through tailored lessons and personalised content. Until then, I can’t wait to hear from you!
