Find Your Perfect Chemistry Tutor

Hi, I’m Nafisa, a university student studying Accounting & Finance and currently working towards a First-Class degree. I have 4 years of tutoring experience, supporting students at GCSE level and below, with a proven track record of helping students make rapid and meaningful progress. I achieved grades 7–9 at GCSE, including English and Maths, and I use strong exam technique, clear explanations, and structured lesson plans to help students improve. On average, my students see a 50% improvement in performance within just 6 weeks, through tailored lessons designed around their individual learning style and goals. Beyond academics, I see tutoring as mentorship. I focus on helping students unlock their full potential, build confidence, and develop a positive mindset towards learning. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing in self-belief. I’m patient, reliable, and genuinely invested in each student’s progress. I look forward to supporting your child in gaining confidence and achieving their academic goals.

I have just finished A level PE, Chemistry and Biology. I received A*AA and am now going to Queen’s University Belfast to study Chemistry. I have limited tutoring experience as I’ve only helped my friends and my younger brother. However, I am enthusiastic and I am willing to work to become a good tutor.

My name is Tyra Branch, and I am a third year medical student at the university of Cambridge. As a tutor, I strive for my student to achieve their greatest potential in academic performance and instill them with the essential time management and revision strategies to help them excel. My Educational Background: In my A-Level exams, I have achieved 3 A*s in A-Level maths, chemistry and biology, as well as achieving an A* in my extended project qualification. As a medical student, I apply a range of A-level knowledge to my studies, and the foundations of knowledge these A-Levels have provided have helped me to build up my understanding of complex medical knowledge. The specific exam boards I completed exams for were OCR A for biology, AQA for chemistry and Edexcel for maths. However, I am able to research and accommodate to all exam boards. My style of teaching: As a tutor , I am aware that each student learns differently and may be a visual learner, a learner who values verbal explanations or a learner who values high yield notes. As a result, I can accommodate my teaching style to match the learning style of my student. However, my basic teaching style includes providing a PowerPoint presentation with high yield notes and knowledge for each topic covered on the exam specification (specifications are a list of topics to be covered, and high yield knowledge is knowledge that is often and frequently examined within exam papers). I will also include diagrams to help visualise the complex concepts. Following this we will apply knowledge to practice questions to help to understand the information required in each exam answer and practice the integration of our knowledge into different concepts. I hope that you consider choosing me to be your tutor, and I can run through any extra information and questions in our 15-minute free trial session, thank you for considering me, Tyra.

Im a final year medical student who loves to teach. I'm passionate, approachable and friendly. I excel at explaining complex concepts clearly and effectively, quickly gauging each student's level to tailor lessons that meet their unique needs. My goal is to foster an environment where big questions are encouraged and curious learners thrive so that they can achieve their academic potential.

Being a student who has achieved top A-Level Grades (4 A*s in subjects including Maths and Further Maths) I am able to simplify concepts to help a deeper and broader understanding of complex ideas. This is especially helpful to young students who are trying to grasp basic concepts, but also to older mathematicians who are coming across new and unfamiliar concepts which are associated with A-level Further Maths in particular.

I am an experienced tutor in maths and chemistry. I have taught students online and in person helping them prepare for SATs and GCSEs and A Levels. All my students have gone on to gain a deeper understanding of their course and have achieved higher grades than before. They have said "I feel so much more confident now." I'm really good at explaining, creating analogies and breaking down key information to help the student understand better.
