Hi, I’m Sameeha and I’m a 2nd year Philosophy and Global Sustainable Development student at the University of Warwick. Having tutored my friends informally, I have been able to develop a student centred approach in my teaching, because not every person learns the same. Moreover, from this experience I was able to develop both a deeper understanding of the topics I was teaching, and I was also able to develop exam skills and link back what we learnt specifically to exam techniques and the assessment objectives that examples would use in our final exams. Hi! I’m Ilaria, a recent graduate of the University of Oxford, with a degree in English and Spanish. I have always been passionate about languages and literature, and I enjoy helping students discover the confidence and skills to succeed in these subjects. Hi, I'm Emily and I study English at the University of St Andrews. I'm passionate about education and first discovered my love for teaching when I began tutoring Year 11 students for their IGCSE English exams in Sixth Form. It was so rewarding to watch their confidence grow and grades improve, and I would love to help your child to do the same. As someone who studies English Literature at university and also studied history and Latin at A-Level, I have lots of experience with textual analysis and essay writing. In tutoring sessions, I can provide feedback on exam-style pieces of writing, guidance on the Point Evidence Analysis (PEA) structure, as well as discussions on key themes and ideas in the course materials. I also have a lot of experience of studying languages, having studied Spanish at IGCSE, Latin at GCSE and A-Level and French at IGCSE, Higher Level IB and during my first year of university. During my English degree at the University of Cambridge, I learnt the incomparable educational value of one-to-one discussion with a subject specialist. I am continuing my studies with the Cambridge MPhil course, using the communication skills and technical knowledge I have gained to provide highly-informed tutoring in Oxbridge applications and English-related subjects. I offer a tailored approach to each student that improves weaker skill areas through targeted exercises, while building confidence through rapport and using accessible introductions to complex key terms and ideas. Hi, I'm Samantha! I help students in years 6-11 master GCSE and IGCSE English - from analysing Macbeth and An Inspector Calls to structuring past paper questions under exam pressure. I also prepare students for 11+ English and have worked regularly with neurodivergent learners, including students with dyslexia, ADHD and autism. I'm a King's College London graduate (BA International Relations) with A*s in English and EPQ, and A grades in History and French. I've been tutoring for three years across two London tutoring centres and my own private practice. My students consistently improve their grades - one of my Year 10 students went from a predicted 6 to a confirmed 8 in GCSE English Language in six months, and I boosted a Year 5's reading fluency noticeably in 8 weeks at a tutoring centre.

I’m Lucy, a 25-year-old Law Graduate who works in Property Law. As you can imagine, I do a lot of reading! I love English and received an A Grade in English Literature at A Level. My real passion is for helping students to enjoy English as much as I do- it doesn’t always have the best reputation for being fun. My goal is to help students make sense of these subjects not only so that they can pass exams but also be able to apply their knowledge in their own lives and enjoy doing so.
