Hi, I’m Iseabhail! I’m currently an undergraduate student at the University of St Andrews studying French, Arabic, and Persian. I achieved A*s in both French and English Literature at A-Level, as well as an 8 in French, and a 9 in English Literature at GCSE. I’ve focused on building a strong academic foundation that is rooted in a deep love for Literature and Modern Languages which allows me to communicate complex ideas clearly. Through my experience as a Class Rep for Persian at university, I advocate for fellow learners and bring leadership and communication directly to my tutoring. My journey began through informal tutoring and mentoring, supporting my sister, her friends, and family friends through their own exams. Hi! I'm Stella, and I just graduated with a Master's degree from Queen's College, University of Oxford. At GCSE, I achieved all grades A/A*/8/9, including 9s in English Literature, English Language, and History, and an 8 in Mathematics. At A-Level, I achieved grades A*/A*/A in English Literature, Government and Politics, and Art and Design, which led me to receive an unconditional offer to study at the University of Birmingham. I graduated from Birmingham with a First-Class Honours BA in American and Canadian Studies, which involved writing First-Class essays on literature, history, politics, and art history. I was also the sole recipient of the Brian Harding Prize for excellence in my field. At Oxford, I was awarded the George Oakes Scholarship for American Studies on the merit of my application and undergraduate writing samples, meaning that my studies were funded. During my Master’s, I completed Distinction-graded essays in literature, poetry, and philosophy, achieving a high Merit overall. Outside of academia, I have worked in gallery and museum outreach, through which I have years of experience patiently and enthusiastically teaching young people about the humanities and supporting them to feel knowledgeable and confident. I am graduate with a degree in History and Italian from Oxford University. I feel passionate about education. At Oxford, I studied Italian from scratch, so I know what it is to face up against an educational challenge!! I want to give other students the help and support which wish I had received.
