My name is Lucas. I have been a lifelong lover and student of the English language and achieved a 2:1 in English from UCL, graduating 2025. I remember my time both learning and teaching English at an A Level and IGCSE fondly. I believe these subjects to be integral to formulating a growing student's capacity to think critically and closely analyse the written and spoken word, which in this particular day and age is more important than anything and serves as a distinguishing factor between themselves and a growing proportion of the population struggling with literacy and critical reading independent of external tools. My name is Fagun and I am a third year university student, studying international business. I am a devoted educator committed to supporting others as they aim to achieve their potential. My colourful educational and professional background places me in an ideal position to help others understand complex information. I was born in Oldham, Manchester but grew up in Leicester in the East Midlands where I attended primary and secondary school, sixth-form, and university. I excelled at secondary school but found it tough at sixth-form, although I didn't help myself by picking five subjects in the first year: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, and Further Maths. After attending sixth-form, I studied on a MPhys Physics with Astrophysics degree at the University of Leicester and graduated in 2017. I then completed my PhD in Physics at the same university before becoming a STEM Teaching Fellow in the physics department. My area of research was/is planetary science and I study the interaction of Saturn's atmosphere and its aurorae. During my PhD, I was very fortunate to get the opportunity to travel to Hawaii, USA and Sendai, Japan for telescope observing and an international conference, respectively. I have previously worked at both the National Space Centre in Leicester and the Royal Observatory Greenwich in London. Both roles were public-facing and I interacted with visiting members of the public. In my current role I teach mathematics to foundation year students at the University of Leicester which includes lecturing, setting and marking exams, and 1-to-1 tutoring.

Hi! I'm Oscar, and I'm a fourth-year student at the University of Warwick studying Computer Science. Having been through the pressure of GCSEs, A-levels, and UCAS, I understand what students face and take a relaxed yet careful approach to tutoring. This includes ensuring content is thoroughly understood through examples and exam questions, as well as focusing on exam technique by using examiners' reports and mark schemes from exam boards to help students write the best answers possible. My experience using these methods is extensive, enabling me to score 9 9s in my GCSEs and 3 A*Ss at A-level in Geography, Biology and Mathematics (as well as full marks in a software-related EPQ). I aim to teach students not just the subject content, but also exceptional exam technique to reduce exam stress. I have taught over 500 sessions and helped many students exceed several grade boundaries in their exams. I have taught various exam boards and levels (from IGCSE to A-Level) across my teaching subjects. In my spare time, I also enjoy programming, game development, resistance training, tennis, and cooking.
