I’m Luke, an academic scholar and reading Classics at Christ Church , Oxford (first class honours in all years so far). For the past year, I’ve greatly enjoyed tutoring students, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds, supporting them on their journeys to Oxbridge with great success. At Westminster School, I was fortunate to be surrounded by teachers who pushed me to reach my full potential - something I aim to do with every student I teach. I also benefited from first-class university guidance and resources, which I’m now eager to share with my own tutees. While at school, I taught music and English to pupils from neighbouring schools, including several with significant learning difficulties - an experience that taught me patience, empathy, and the importance of adapting my teaching to each individual’s needs. I was delighted to be awarded my school's award for exemplary achievement in the humanities in 2024.

Hi! I'm Tom and I am a First-Class Classics graduate from the University of Oxford. I have two years of tutoring experience and I look to engage students with a pragmatic approach to their course, so that they feel confident as they revise and find the checkpoints of revision rewarding. By providing an approach which focuses on helpful exam prep, I hope to guide students through their course systematically. I have tutored 4 pupils in primary school Maths and Latin, and ISEB Common entrance prep for Latin and Greek. I achieved straight 9s at iGCSE and 3A*s at A-Level/Pre-U, and therefore I feel equipped to share my techniques with other students. I am Alice, a first class Classics graduate from Oxford University. I have been tutoring formally for four years and I offer tutoring for English Language, History, Geography, Biology, Chemistry and Maths up to GCSE level, as well as Latin and Greek up to A level standard. I achieved 9s in all of these subjects, with 98% in History, 97% in Geography (top in the exam board), 98% in Maths (and 94% in Additional Mathematics), 98% in Latin, and 97% in Greek (I did not receive percentages in Chemistry and Biology but achieved 97 and 99% respectively in my mocks). I can also provide mentorship for University applications, particularly for Oxbridge. My tutoring style consists of both general teaching (such as Latin, Greek and English Language from scratch) as well as specification-based teaching. My main focus is on inspiring confidence and encouraging productive revision techniques, including an emphasis on past papers and tailoring one's answers to what the exam board wants. I believe that, by learning from examiners' reports and mark schemes, one can provide the examiner with exactly what they want to hear. This is crucial for achieving top marks or for jumping up several grades.
