I’m a friendly, enthusiastic and adaptable gap-year student with a passion for helping others learn and reach their full potential. I teach a range of subjects up to GCSE level, tailoring my approach to suit each student’s individual needs, learning style and goals. My own academic journey hasn’t always been easy. I’ve experienced the frustration of struggling with subjects and feeling like something just wasn’t clicking. However, I was able to overcome these challenges through persistence, finding different ways of understanding difficult topics, and developing study techniques that worked for me. This experience has given me a genuine understanding of how difficult learning can sometimes feel, and I bring that patience and empathy into my teaching. I also have experience helping friends with their studies, including friends with ADHD. This has taught me the importance of being flexible and finding different ways to explain concepts, rather than expecting every student to learn in exactly the same way. I aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and taking their time to understand a topic. Whether a student is looking to build confidence, prepare for GCSE exams, or simply get to grips with a challenging subject, my goal is to make learning feel more manageable and engaging. Most importantly, I want students to leave lessons feeling not only more knowledgeable, but also more confident in their own ability to succeed.

During my time in college, I had the experience of tutoring fellow students. I found it incredibly rewarding to help students develop both their understanding of the subject and their confidence in applying their knowledge My teaching style is adaptable and tailored to the needs of the individual. We will begin by assessing the student’s current strengths and areas for improvement, allowing us to create a personalised learning plan and make the most of our sessions together. First, we will focus on building a strong foundation by reviewing key concepts and ensuring a solid understanding of the basics. From there, we will reinforce learning through timed assessments, applying knowledge to exam-style questions and developing effective exam techniques to help you achieve your goals.

Hi, I’m Dylan, a first-year Economics student at the University of York. I achieved an A* in Economics, an A in Politics and a B in Maths at A-level, as well as seven grades 8–9 and one grade 7 at GCSE, including a 9 in Maths and an 8 in English Literature. I also earned Gold in the Intermediate Maths Challenge and Silver in the Senior Maths Challenge. At school, I was selected as a Maths Prefect, which involved tutoring younger students in Maths. This experience taught me how to explain difficult ideas clearly, patiently and in more than one way. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building confidence. Outside my studies, I enjoy playing the piano and oboe, tennis, swimming and debating. I also founded my school’s UK Space Design Competition team and later led a 15-person department at the national final, which strengthened my communication and organisation skills. I would love to help students strengthen their subject knowledge, improve their exam technique and feel more confident in their abilities.

A student at Imperial College London studying Material Science and Engineering. Being blessed with good teachers has given me the tools and inspiration to do the same to those who need help. My past experiences include teaching A-level Math, Chemistry, Physics and Biology, as well as high school Further Math, Math and Science. I am able to cater lessons to the students' needs and am open to any requests and feedbacks. Having invited to give alumni sharing sessions for A-level students, I am also happy to share my experiences and am always ready to offer my help also for students seeking advice in transitioning from GCSEs to A-levels.

Hi! I’m a first-year Medical Student at the University of Birmingham, tutoring A Level Biology, Chemistry and Maths, as well as GCSE Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths. Having recently completed my own GCSEs and A Levels, I know how stressful it can be when a topic just doesn’t seem to click, or when you understand the content but struggle to apply it in exam questions. I remember experiencing this myself, and I know how much easier learning can feel when someone explains things in a way that works for you. I achieved 10 GCSEs, all at grades 8–9, including a 9 in Further Maths, and achieved A*–A grades in A Level Maths, Biology, Chemistry and my EPQ. I’ve also gained experience through peer mentoring, where I’ve supported students with different abilities, learning styles and levels of confidence. I don’t believe there is one way to learn, so I adapt my lessons to each student. We can focus on whatever you need most, whether that’s understanding difficult topics, practising exam questions, improving exam technique or building confidence in a subject. I want my lessons to be supportive and relaxed, where you feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes without feeling judged. I’ll help you set achievable goals, stay motivated and recognise your progress, while developing the confidence and independence to tackle questions on your own. My aim is to make subjects feel less overwhelming and help you feel genuinely confident in what you’re learning.
