Hi, I am Andrew, an LSE student reading history. I am a strong believer that anyone who has the right guidance and a way into a topic or subject can achieve the very best grades. Similarly, with universities I believe that my experience of getting an offer at London’s best university (8 applications per place), according to the Complete University Guide and The Times, shows the strength of my approach. As a fully qualified Tennis Coach I have considerable experience in coaching people and in communicating effectively with people, all of whom learn in different ways. Coaching tennis has taught me important time management skills, when balancing that with academic work. I achieved 10 A* at GCSE (5 at Grade 8; 5 at Grade 9) and achieved 2 A* in History and in Economics and an A in Politics at A Level. I am particularly keen to help A Level Economics student who may struggle with the longer essay response questions, especially if they come from a STEM background where essays are not the norm for assessment. I am also interested in helping A Level History and Politics students. Likewise, I feel that I have much to offer GCSE students in Geography and History where I achieved two grade 9s. I am a second-year LLB Law student at the University of Warwick, predicted a First Class degree. I achieved 10 Grade 9s at GCSE and ranked 1st in my A-Level English Language cohort with a 95% score. The academic record is there. More importantly, so is the method behind it. For the past three years I have worked as a qualified Swimming Instructor, teaching 30+ children weekly across all ages and ability levels. That experience taught me something no degree can: every student needs a different explanation, and your job as a teacher is to find it. That is exactly how I approach every subject I teach. I teach English Language at GCSE and A-Level, English Literature at IGCSE, History at IGCSE, and Economics at A-Level. Across every subject, my approach is the same: mark scheme mastery, structured note-taking systems, exam technique built from real experience, and live feedback on past papers. I do not teach students to memorise. I teach them to think like an examiner. I have seen firsthand what separates students who plateau at a Grade 6 from those who break through to Grade 9. The gap is almost never intelligence. It is method, and that is exactly what I provide.

I graduated with a First from Oxford last year for my undergraduate History BA.
