Hello, and welcome to my profile! My name is Trisha and I’m a first year medical student at Imperial College London. I completed 11 GCSEs and achieved 8s and 9s, as well as 3 A-levels where I achieved A*A*A. I have tutoring experience with kids from ages 7-16 including those in their 11+ and GCSE years. I enjoy tutoring a lot as it gives me the opportunity to help others learn, grow and gain confidence, and I hope to be able teach future med students during my career to pass on my skills and knowledge whilst being a practicing doctor. I teach Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Geography and am also happy to provide guidance on the university application process (personal statement, interviews and exams). I have just finished my second year student at the University of Exeter who received A's/A* at both GCSE and A Level. I am currently studying for a Bachelors Degree in Geography and have previous experience working in a primary schools, a summer camp with 6-15 year old girls as well as tutoring on Edumentors and privately for over a year. I am a dedicated final-year Biomedical Science student at Warwick University. Hi! I'm Oscar, and I'm a third-year student at the University of Warwick studying Computer Science. Having been through the pressure of GCSEs, A-levels, and UCAS, I understand the pressures students face and have a relaxed yet careful approach to tutoring. This includes ensuring content is thoroughly understood through many examples and exam questions, as well as focusing on exam technique by utilising examiners' reports and mark schemes provided by exam boards to help students write the best answers possible. My experience using these methods is extensive - enabling me to score 9 9s in my GCSEs and 3 A*Ss at A-level in Geography, Biology and Mathematics (as well as full marks in a software-related EPQ), I look to educate students not just on the subject content but also help them learn exceptional exam technique to reduce their stress during exams. I’m Luke, I am a Natural sciences student at Cambridge. Studied Maths Chemistry Biology and geography at A level. This summer I am a Teaching intern at SMC/vantage. I have taught whole lessons in the sciences and geography from ks3 to a level. A massive fan of conservation and nature, formula one and football. Sadly I am a spurs fan so the less said about football the better. I’m a member of the rspb so I do enjoy bird watching and every summer for the past 2 years I’ve volunteered to teach ecology and data analysis to year 12 students in Morecambe‘s salt marshes over a whole week. The best bit about teaching for me is the moment it clicks, specifically when a student doesn't understand a concept, reframing my approach and it eventually working is as good as it gets.
