Hi there! I graduated from the International Baccalaureate in May 2024, achieving 41/45 points with 7s in Higher Levels English Language & Literature, Psychology, and Music. I am currently an undergraduate Psychology student at Durham University, but have been tutoring on the side. In my free time, I enjoy playing the piano, reading, crocheting, cooking, and watching Marvel films :) My friends and teachers describe me as compassionate and understanding, and a good listener. I aim to understand your individual ways of learning and tailor my teaching approach accordingly. I also like to use modelling, examples, metaphors, and a step-wise approach to explaining concepts, including application to the real-world to enrich conceptual understanding, instead of memorisation. I have a relaxed and patient approach to learning & guidance. I do not condone pressure-driven teaching as the IB is stressful enough. Hi! I’m Joseph, a professional composer and experienced tutor based in London.
