My mission is to make Modern Languages and Maths fun and I want to help you achieve your goals. I offer Spanish, French and Polish from beginner to A Level standard, English as a Foregin Language, and early years to KS3 Mathematics. I tailor each lesson to the individual student, and I can provide homework as requested. I have experience teaching a variety of students and levels, as well as teaching students with learning difficulties. I love to travel and have lived and studied in several different countries, and I am super passionate about teaching foreign languages and educating people on other countries and cultures. I have gained immersive experience in all languages I teach, having lived, studied, and worked in the Caribbean (French), Barcelona (Spanish), Poland (Polish), and across the UK, Australia, and the USA (English as a foreign language). I have an undergraduate degree in Modern Language Studies, and I have tutored Modern Languages and Maths for over two years. My main languages studied at degree level were Spanish and French, and I did elective modules in Russian and Serbian. I am a native speaker of Polish and English. I completed a teaching module as part of my undergraduate degree including an in person teaching placement. I use a combination of PowerPoints, short exercises, proving examples, videos, audio files and interactive applications. I provide materials to use and reference outside of class, and can provide homework which will be marked before the next class to go over together. Hi! I'm Oscar, and I'm a third-year student at the University of Warwick studying Computer Science. Having been through the pressure of GCSEs, A-levels, and UCAS, I understand the pressures students face and have a relaxed yet careful approach to tutoring. This includes ensuring content is thoroughly understood through many examples and exam questions, as well as focusing on exam technique by utilising examiners' reports and mark schemes provided by exam boards to help students write the best answers possible. My experience using these methods is extensive - enabling me to score 9 9s in my GCSEs and 3 A*Ss at A-level in Geography, Biology and Mathematics (as well as full marks in a software-related EPQ), I look to educate students not just on the subject content but also help them learn exceptional exam technique to reduce their stress during exams. I have taught over 500 sessions and helped many students exceed several grade boundaries in their exams. Upon completion of my O and A levels, I have found interest in tutoring and would like to help students in having a smoother transition throughout their terms. I am Alice, a first class Classics graduate from Oxford University. I have been tutoring formally for four years and I offer tutoring for English Language, History, Geography, Biology, Chemistry and Maths up to GCSE level, as well as Latin and Greek up to A level standard. I achieved 9s in all of these subjects, with 98% in History, 97% in Geography (top in the exam board), 98% in Maths (and 94% in Additional Mathematics), 98% in Latin, and 97% in Greek (I did not receive percentages in Chemistry and Biology but achieved 97 and 99% respectively in my mocks). I can also provide mentorship for University applications, particularly for Oxbridge. My tutoring style consists of both general teaching (such as Latin, Greek and English Language from scratch) as well as specification-based teaching. My main focus is on inspiring confidence and encouraging productive revision techniques, including an emphasis on past papers and tailoring one's answers to what the exam board wants. I believe that, by learning from examiners' reports and mark schemes, one can provide the examiner with exactly what they want to hear. This is crucial for achieving top marks or for jumping up several grades.
