Having very recently navigated GCSEs and A-levels myself (and come out the other side successfully ), I know how intense exams can be. No subject is enjoyable when it doesn’t make sense, so my aim is to break down those difficult concepts with you so that you can not only achieve the best grades you can, but also enjoy the process!

Bonjour! My name is Daniel Christmas, and I am an undergraduate law student at the University of York. Having achieved an 'A' in A-level French and a very high Grade 9 in GCSE French, I have a strong academic background in the language and a good understanding of what it takes to succeed in French exams. On top of this, I am CELTA-qualified — the internationally recognised Cambridge certificate in language teaching, the same standard used to train professional language teachers worldwide. This means my lessons aren't just built on knowing French well, but on knowing how to teach it: I use proven techniques like guided discovery, structured staging, and target-language immersion to make sure concepts genuinely stick, rather than just being explained and forgotten. Where many tutors can tell you the rules, I'm trained to help you actually internalise them. As a tennis coach, I worked with young players of different ages and abilities. This experience taught me how to explain concepts clearly and adapt my approach to different abilities and learning styles. I bring that same flexibility and patience to my French tutoring. Every student approaches French differently: some find written work straightforward and freeze up when speaking, whilst others are the opposite. Hi there! I'm Ramiya and I'm a first-year Durham student studying Physics and Philosophy. I've had previous experience as tutor, helping build confidence and work ethic specifically in subjects Maths and English, from KS3 up to A-levels.
