Hi, I’m Iseabhail! I’m currently an undergraduate student at the University of St Andrews studying French, Arabic, and Persian. I achieved A*s in both French and English Literature at A-Level, as well as an 8 in French, and a 9 in English Literature at GCSE. I’ve focused on building a strong academic foundation that is rooted in a deep love for Literature and Modern Languages which allows me to communicate complex ideas clearly. Through my experience as a Class Rep for Persian at university, I advocate for fellow learners and bring leadership and communication directly to my tutoring. My journey began through informal tutoring and mentoring, supporting my sister, her friends, and family friends through their own exams. This experience introduced me to the various styles of teaching required to help students progress and understand different ideas or concepts. I pride myself on adapting my teaching style to fit each individual, ensuring they don’t just ‘learn’ the content, but truly engage with and enjoy it. Whether it’s breaking down a difficult text or mastering new grammar, I use flexible teaching methods tailored to the student’s needs. I understand the dedication and commitment required to excel in the UK exam system and I am dedicated to helping students find their own passion for their subjects, turning ‘difficult’ content into an enjoyable challenge. My goal is to create a comfortable and encouraging environment, where students feel confident to ask questions, engage with the material, and ultimately secure top grades.

As a native French speaker and a recent graduate, I am passionate about helping students improve their French in a fun and structured way. Having studied entirely in the French system, I have extensive academic experience in both spoken and written French—whether it’s delivering oral presentations (where I received 18/20) or writing analytical essays and dissertations (where I scored 17/20). My approach is interactive and fully adapted to each student's needs, whether they want to build confidence in speaking, refine their writing, or master grammar and pronunciation. My goal is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can progress at their own pace. The Areas of Tutoring Where My Skills Are Particularly Useful 1. French for All Levels (Children to GCSE/A-level) I teach all levels, from beginners to GCSE and A-level students. Having studied various academic subjects in French—including history, mathematics, economics, and cinema—I bring a rich cultural perspective to my lessons. This allows me to help students not only with the language but also with understanding French culture and context, which is crucial for mastering the language. 2. Special Needs and Learning Differences I have experience working with students with special needs, as I was Vice President of an organization dedicated to educating children with Down syndrome. This experience has helped me develop patience, adaptability, and the ability to tailor my teaching methods to different learning styles. 3. Comprehensive Language Skills I can teach all aspects of the French language: Speaking and Pronunciation: Emphasis on fluency, confidence, and correct articulation. Writing: From structuring essays to improving style and vocabulary. Grammar and Syntax: Clear explanations of French grammar with practical exercises. Listening and Comprehension: Training with real-life conversations and audio materials. French Culture and Academic Subjects: Understanding French cinema, literature, history, and more to enrich learning. Each lesson is customized to fit the student’s progress and learning style. If a student needs more speaking practice, I adapt the session accordingly. If pronunciation needs improvement, I focus on phonetics and accent work. 4. Exam Preparation (GCSE, A-Level, and More) I provide structured preparation for French exams, including: GCSE French (listening, reading, writing, and speaking components) A-Level French (essay writing, literature analysis, and advanced conversation) Lower levels (KS3 and younger learners) Having helped classmates and friends improve their oral presentations and writing skills, I understand how to prepare students for high-stakes exams, focusing on confidence, vocabulary expansion, and structured argumentation. 5. University Applications and Personal Statements (French System and Parcoursup) Having gone through the French application system (Parcoursup), I can guide students on writing compelling personal statements in French. My school provided extensive training on how to craft strong applications, and I can share the best strategies to highlight academic achievements and personal strengths. I also help students who are applying to universities in France, ensuring their applications meet the expectations of French institutions. 6. Multilingual and Intercultural Experience I am fluent in French, Arabic, and English, and I am currently learning Spanish. My experience with multiple languages gives me a deep understanding of language learning challenges and allows me to explain complex French concepts in a clear and accessible way. Currently studying in English, I am comfortable teaching students whose first language is English. Additionally, my experience as Vice President of the ONU Femmes Committee in Morocco involved working with international participants, where I trained them on public speaking, how to present clauses and resolutions, and how to structure diplomatic speeches. This has strengthened my ability to teach effective communication and argumentation techniques—valuable skills for French oral exams. 7. Study Sessions and Coaching for Presentations During my school years, I regularly hosted study sessions where I helped friends with mathematics and oral presentations. I coached them on: Captivating an audience. Expanding vocabulary for more sophisticated expression. Speaking with confidence and clarity. This experience has shaped my approach to teaching, where I emphasize engagement, motivation, and practical application of language skills. Why Choose Me? ✅ Native French speaker with a strong academic background. ✅ Experienced in teaching all levels, including special needs students. ✅ Personalized lessons tailored to individual learning styles. ✅ Strong cultural knowledge of French-speaking countries. ✅ Expert in exam preparation (GCSE, A-Level). ✅ First-hand experience with the French university application system (Parcoursup). ✅ Fluent in French, Arabic, and English, currently learning Spanish. ✅ Passionate about teaching in a fun and interactive way! If you’re looking for engaging and effective French lessons, I’d love to help you reach your goals. À bientôt ! 😊

I have been studying French and Spanish for over a decade and am currently pursuing Spanish at degree level. My own academic background includes grade 8 (A*) in both French and Spanish at GCSE, an A* in A-Level French, and an A in A-Level Spanish. For the past 9 months, I have been tutoring French and Spanish at GCSE and A-Level across Edexcel GCSE/IGCSE and AQA, with fantastic outcomes. This summer, my students achieved: • GCSE French Foundation – Grade 5 (highest grade possible) • GCSE French Higher – Grade 8 (A*) • A-Level Spanish – Grade A More results are pending, but feedback suggests equally positive performances. I take pride in the progress my students make—whether it’s helping a student secure a solid pass at Foundation level, or pushing a motivated Higher or A-Level student to achieve top grades. I also mentor sixth formers through the personal statement process, with my students receiving 4–5 university offers each. My teaching style: I always begin with a diagnostic assessment to identify strengths and areas for development. From there, I design a clear programme of weekly lessons, exercises, and homework. A big part of excelling in GCSEs and A-Levels is exam readiness, so I make sure my students are fully acclimatised to the papers—walking into the exam hall with confidence and no surprises. Above all, I am passionate about languages and about supporting young people. Whether a student is building confidence from the ground up or striving for the top grades, I adapt my approach to bring out the very best in them.

I have extensive experience in education and tutoring, specializing in creative and language-based learning. As a French teacher at Alliance Française (2022–2023), I designed and delivered engaging lessons using the FLE method, managing groups of up to 15 children and providing tailored feedback to support their learning. At Oasis Nurture (2024), I used art as a tool for emotional resilience, leading therapeutic workshops for underprivileged children, mentoring assistants, and curating an exhibition of their work. Since 2021, I have been a private tutor, offering one-on-one lessons in French, Art History, and Cambridge application preparation. I have successfully guided students through personal statements, interview techniques, and subject-specific knowledge, with one student gaining admission to Cambridge. My current role as creative health and outreach curator at Looking Forward (2024–present) involves designing community-based art programmes to support children's well-being, collaborating with institutions like Whitechapel Gallery and Serpentine Galleries to make art more inclusive and accessible. Additionally, as an education and outreach volunteer at the Whipple Museum (2024), I developed strategies to make complex topics engaging and understandable for the public. Through these roles, I have developed strong teaching, mentoring, and curriculum design skills, with a particular focus on inclusive and creative learning.

Hello! I'm Fauresthia, I am a fully qualified secondary MFL( Modern Foreign Languages) teacher of French and Spanish. With a burning passion to inspire the next generation to embrace and discover why it is important to learn a new language. My academic journey began by being a native French speaker and receiving an A* at GCSE and an A at A-Level. I attended Manchester Metropolitan University for my undergraduate to learn French with Spanish. I was able to deepen my understanding of the cultural history and what the issues in society were in both countries via films, books and the topic of multiculturalism. In my 3rd year of university I went on my year aboard to completely immerse myself into both cultures. First I went to Reims, France for 5 months, where I taught English to primary children and toddlers at an English private school, it was a reveting experience. Later to Murcia, Spain for 6 months to the University of Murcia, where I studied travel and tourism, film studies and also additional Spanish language classes. I loved my time in Murcia, funnily enough I just didn't want to come back. I must say my year aboard truly allowed me to acquire various new skills as well as reflect on all the opportunities ahead in the field of work. Which led to me choosing to study once more after my last year of university. I decided to study a PGCE MFL French with Spanish for a year and graduated at King's College London. These achievements not only reflect my grasp of both languages but portraits my dedication and desire to speak these languages fluently as well as teaching them. Alongside my teaching, I have gained over a year of experience as a tutor. Having had the privilege of supporting students from diverse backgrounds but also GCSE and KS3 students all aiming high. My versatile teaching style is tailor-made to fit each student's unique learning style. Focusing on all 4 mfl skills (listening and reading, speaking and writing), as well as vocabulary and grammar. All in all ensuring their comfort, engagement, and evidently their success. As a tutor and teacher, my mission is to not only to encourage academic improvement but also to inspire a genuine love for learning a new language in my students. I am able to create a safe environment in which students will always feel empowered, motivated, and excited to reach their full potential. I am looking forward to collaborating with you and your child through their academic journey!

Very big improvement given a short period of time with only a small time period of about 3 months my daughter in year 10 has gone from a level U to a level 4 in her maths grade with her tutor Jose. He is a very good maths teacher and has very easy ways of doing hard GCSE maths. What my daughter used to find immensely hard is now very easy. Jose is sadly not her tutor anymore but this was a very great experience and will be looking forward to using this company again for my daughter to get high grades and pass her GCSE’s thank you very much.

Excellent service, highly recommented Booked a block of Lessons leading up to my sons maths exam as maths was his weakest subject and he felt he wanted help. Pia (the tutor) was patient and professional and explained things in a way my son could easily understand. He looked forward to each lesson and felt the lessons gave him the confidence, knowledge and understanding he needed to face his maths GCSE exam. He thinks he did really well in his first exam and we are so pleased we invested in the lessons leading up to his GCSE’s. Can’t recommend Edumentors and Pia enough. Really professional service and well worth the money.

The tutoring times were really flexible and the tutor themselves (Izzy Mitchell) was amazing. The level of communication allowed between the student and tutor made it easy for my questions to be answered quickly. So thank you so much Edumentors and Izzy! Personally, I went from a 6 to a 9 in AQA English literature in just a few weeks so if you are thinking about it, give it a go!

Imogen is a fantastic tutor and through the year prepared my daughter enabling her to get a 9 in German.
