Hi, my name is Max and I am a recent Human, Social and Political Sciences graduate at the University of Cambridge. I am confident in tutoring a vast array of subjects at IB, A Level, GCSE and KS3 levels. This includes English Language and Literature, Mathematics, Geography, Politics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics. I have been working at Edumentors for over 18 months now and have tutored an array of subjects for hundreds of hours at A-Level, IB, GCSE and KS3 levels. Specifically, I have helped students achieve grade 8s/9s in their English and Maths GCSE studies from the lower grades (5 and 6) they were working at initially. I have received excellent feedback from all the students I have tutored. For example, in English, I find collaborative discussion around key texts essential to unlocking the top grades. This is not only in relation to set texts, but sometimes I have found it rewarding for the student (depending on their ability) to discuss texts beyond the curriculum to challenge them further (especially in English Language lessons) Overall, my approach to teaching is professional, approachable, engaging, and I seek to tailor my teaching methods for the needs of each student. Part of this is my in-depth knowledge of exam-boards such as AQA and Edexcel, meaning I can tailor tutoring lessons to each board respectively, and ensure I cover the required content in-depth. Now that I have graduated, I am also very flexible regarding scheduling, meaning I am available for as many or as little sessions as you need me for. This will be the case until the start of next year, meaning I can offer long-term tutoring support. Aside from this, I am a keen Badminton-player, am currently learning German at an advanced level, and am the Editor-In-Chief of the Cambridge Journal of Political Affairs.
