I’m a UCL Anthropology student with a strong academic background and a genuine love for teaching. I have over a year’s experience teaching Maths at both KS1 and GCSE level, alongside GCSE Sociology. Hello, my name is Ben, and I am in my second year studying mathematics at Exeter. At GCSE I achieved a 9 in Mathematics, and an A at A-level, with an A* in my EPQ. I have built my approach to mathematics on the back of all my hobbies. I have spent over 10 years studying and performing close-up and stage magic. I also spend my time playing chess and similar games. I have even managed to reach a rating of 2000 on Lichess. Thanks to the university, I have also learnt how to play TTRPGs, and I now run a DnD campaign every week. I then spend what little time I have left experimenting with cooking and coffee brewing. My approach to tutoring is to start by going through some questions to check the student's understanding of core concepts, then based on this I focus on weaker areas, and points that the student is having trouble with. Hi! My name is Abidah. I am currently a first year Computer Science student in University. I have achieved A*A*A* in A Level Maths, Chemistry and Biology and grade 9s in the above subjects for GCSEs. As a tutor with over 3 years of tutoring experience, I have learnt strategies to support students according to their needs. This includes using a range of resources to help the student. As I have recently completed my A Levels, I am in a position in which I can understand students and advise them on how to maximise their efficiency in studying as I was recently in their positions. Along with this I am very familiar with the Edexcel exam board for GCSE and A Levels Maths as well as AQA for Biology and Chemistry. Hence, I have all the knowledge there is to know for the curriculum. My lessons will focus on the weakness of the student and will be tailored to the students need. Not only will I go through the content, but I will also ensure to do practise questions along with the student explaining every step and then allowing them to complete a few questions alone to ensure they have fully understood the topic. Before each lesson, I will make sure to have asked the student which topic they would like to focus on and plan the lesson according to that.

I am charismatic and enthusiastic Barts and the London School of Medicine student, with a willingness to learn and grow in any field despite the challenges that may be presented. I consider myself well-rounded, excelling in both academics as well as sport e.g., Football (My favourite!) and have passion for social interaction. Through exposure to tough situations as well as reading books on the topics I have honed my emotional intelligence and communication skills which I have since applied to provide help in various avenues such as education. This has also proved useful when teaching students who's first language isn't English as my fluency in another language allowed me to better understand the students I've worked with. I am a published author who is passionate about writing short stories as means of expressing issues that many children are faced with. One such issue is bullying and I have published a book titled Scars the Bullies and The Bullied which aims to inspire readers to take action against bullying. I will work alongside my students, supporting them along each step of the way so that in the end, they can excel; not solely academically but also in life.

I am Alice, a first class Classics graduate from Oxford University. I have been tutoring formally for four years and I offer tutoring for English Language, History, Geography, Biology, Chemistry and Maths up to GCSE level, as well as Latin and Greek up to A level standard. I achieved 9s in all of these subjects, with 98% in History, 97% in Geography (top in the exam board), 98% in Maths (and 94% in Additional Mathematics), 98% in Latin, and 97% in Greek (I did not receive percentages in Chemistry and Biology but achieved 97 and 99% respectively in my mocks). I can also provide mentorship for University applications, particularly for Oxbridge. My tutoring style consists of both general teaching (such as Latin, Greek and English Language from scratch) as well as specification-based teaching. My main focus is on inspiring confidence and encouraging productive revision techniques, including an emphasis on past papers and tailoring one's answers to what the exam board wants. I believe that, by learning from examiners' reports and mark schemes, one can provide the examiner with exactly what they want to hear. This is crucial for achieving top marks or for jumping up several grades.
