I have always taken my academics seriously, and receiving an Academic Achievement Award was a meaningful milestone for me because it reflected the effort, consistency, and discipline I put into my studies over time. More importantly, it shaped how I approach learning itself, not as memorisation, but as understanding why things work. That mindset is at the core of how I tutor. My tutoring style is highly interactive and question-based. I don’t believe in talking at students. Instead, I focus on constant engagement by asking questions, encouraging students to explain their thinking, and working through problems together. Especially in subjects like Math, working through past paper questions is important, which is why I stress on this aspect very much during tutoring sessions. This helps me understand where they’re getting stuck and allows them to build confidence in their own reasoning rather than relying on answers being given to them. I’m very patient and adapt each session to the student’s pace, whether they need concepts broken down slowly or prefer to be challenged with more difficult questions. I’m also flexible in how I tutor — both in teaching style and scheduling. I understand that students have different routines and commitments, so I’m happy to adjust across days where possible to make learning consistent and manageable. My aim is to create a supportive, low-pressure environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, because that’s where real learning happens. Ultimately, I want students to leave sessions not just with better grades, but with a clearer understanding and greater confidence in their ability to learn independently.

I am a student in my first year of university at the University of Bristol, where I study Spanish and International Business Management. At A-Level, I studied Spanish, French and History, where I achieved the grades of A*, A and B respectively. I hold a upperclass 2:1 BA Honors degree in English Language and Spanish. During my third year, I successfully completed the ERASMUS+ program at the university of Granada, Spain. Through immersing myself in the language and culture, I can confidently say that I have a strong command of the Spanish language. The following year, I embarked on an Masters degree in Translation Studies. I completed an internship in Barcelona that really sparked my interest to seek job opportunities that involved writing, editing and translation. I soon landed a job in bid writing for a Spanish Engineering company where I was able to put my skills to the test. My most recent teaching experience at an EF language centre in Indonesia, homed in on making the classroom a fun and exciting environment. Students from as young as 3 had evening classes, therefore incorporating interactive games and eliciting grammatical points were essential to keep students stimulated. In 2021, I worked as a Primary school Teacher at a British School in Madagascar. This experience was both extremely challenging and rewarding as the majority of my students spoke 3+ languages, English usually being the least spoken. Lesson planning very quickly became second nature and easy to differentiate class materials to the varied abilities within the year 5 class. In my spare time, I enjoy cycling, travelling and meeting up with my friends.

Hello! I'm Fauresthia, I am a fully qualified secondary MFL( Modern Foreign Languages) teacher of French and Spanish. With a burning passion to inspire the next generation to embrace and discover why it is important to learn a new language. My academic journey began by being a native French speaker and receiving an A* at GCSE and an A at A-Level. I attended Manchester Metropolitan University for my undergraduate to learn French with Spanish. I was able to deepen my understanding of the cultural history and what the issues in society were in both countries via films, books and the topic of multiculturalism. In my 3rd year of university I went on my year aboard to completely immerse myself into both cultures. First I went to Reims, France for 5 months, where I taught English to primary children and toddlers at an English private school, it was a reveting experience. Later to Murcia, Spain for 6 months to the University of Murcia, where I studied travel and tourism, film studies and also additional Spanish language classes. I loved my time in Murcia, funnily enough I just didn't want to come back. I must say my year aboard truly allowed me to acquire various new skills as well as reflect on all the opportunities ahead in the field of work. Which led to me choosing to study once more after my last year of university. I decided to study a PGCE MFL French with Spanish for a year and graduated at King's College London. These achievements not only reflect my grasp of both languages but portraits my dedication and desire to speak these languages fluently as well as teaching them. Alongside my teaching, I have gained over a year of experience as a tutor. Having had the privilege of supporting students from diverse backgrounds but also GCSE and KS3 students all aiming high. I offer Spanish, French and Polish from beginner to A Level standard, English as a Foregin Language, and early years to KS3 Mathematics.
