Hi, I'm Josh, a first-year Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence student at the University of Bath. I'd like to offer GCSE and A-Level Maths, Physics and Computer Science tutoring. Over the past three years, I've worked with a wide range of students, delivering large-group sessions of up to 20 students and tailored 1-to-1 sessions across GCSE and A Level Maths, Physics, and Computer Science. In Maths, I achieved an A* at A Level and a Grade 9 at GCSE. In Physics, I achieved an A at A Level and a Grade 9 at GCSE. In Computer Science, I achieved an A at A Level and a Grade 8 at GCSE, and I went on to study a degree in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence. My teaching style is very approachable, patient and structured. I know exactly how demanding exam preparation can be, so we will focus on breaking down those tricky, complex topics into manageable pieces. Once the concepts make sense, we will work through past questions to perfect your exam technique and make sure you feel completely prepared. During my school years, I also received an Arkwright Scholarship, the most prestigious scholarship for young engineers in the UK, as well as the Baker Dearing Award, which recognises student success in technical subjects and workplace skills. In addition, I served as Head Student at my school. Aside from academics, I enjoy both watching and playing football, as well as programming. Feel free to get in touch to arrange an initial trial session!

Need a Computer Science Tutor to Help Your Child Succeed?

A-Level Computer Science combines technical knowledge with logical thinking, problem-solving and programming skills. Many students enjoy the subject but find it challenging once algorithms, computational thinking and coding projects become more complex. Understanding the theory is only part of the challenge. Students must also apply concepts accurately in exams and practical tasks.

As the course becomes more demanding, many families look for extra academic support. Some choose an A-Level Computer Science tutor for specialised guidance, while others compare support from ICT tutors or an A-Level Design and Technology tutor when students enjoy technical and project-based subjects.

The right support can help students tackle difficult concepts with greater confidence and improve performance across both coursework and exams.
