I’m a friendly, enthusiastic and adaptable gap-year student with a passion for helping others learn and reach their full potential. I teach a range of subjects up to GCSE level, tailoring my approach to suit each student’s individual needs, learning style and goals. My own academic journey hasn’t always been easy. I’ve experienced the frustration of struggling with subjects and feeling like something just wasn’t clicking. However, I was able to overcome these challenges through persistence, finding different ways of understanding difficult topics, and developing study techniques that worked for me. This experience has given me a genuine understanding of how difficult learning can sometimes feel, and I bring that patience and empathy into my teaching. I also have experience helping friends with their studies, including friends with ADHD. This has taught me the importance of being flexible and finding different ways to explain concepts, rather than expecting every student to learn in exactly the same way. I aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and taking their time to understand a topic. Whether a student is looking to build confidence, prepare for GCSE exams, or simply get to grips with a challenging subject, my goal is to make learning feel more manageable and engaging. Most importantly, I want students to leave lessons feeling not only more knowledgeable, but also more confident in their own ability to succeed.

As a tutor I aim to develop an in-depth understanding of this in students to help them score better in the tests and interviews they will face.

I am a First-Class Aerospace Engineering MEng student at the University of Bristol offering targeted tutoring for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Having completed my own A-Levels in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, alongside three years of professional private tutoring experience, I understand exactly what is required to master STEM subjects and navigate strict exam board mark schemes. My teaching methodology is straightforward and heavily influenced by my engineering background: I break down complex, overwhelming problems into logical, manageable steps. I do not encourage rote memorization of formulas. Instead, I train students to understand first principles and apply rigorous problem-solving techniques to unfamiliar questions. My objective is to help students build genuine technical competence, bridge the gap between abstract theory and real-world mechanics, and secure the top grades necessary for their academic progression.
