Hi! I'm Keerthana, a 3rd year aerospace engineering student at the University of Nottingham. I have been formally tutoring for the past year and a half, and in this time I have had a rewarding journey of teaching and connecting with students from different backgrounds all brought together by the exams they're taking. Meanwhile, my informal experience of tutoring stems from teaching my cousins, which was a rewarding journey that allowed me to sharpen my patience and creativity. Along the way, I've discovered that the ability to tailor explanations to students is just as important as the knowledge itself. When I was doing my (I)GCSE and IB, I found questions easier to solve when I understood my concepts c . Even the littlest missing pieces of knowledge made a huge difference to me. So, as a tutor, my first goal would be ensure that my students have a strong understanding of the topic. To strengthen their knowledge, I would also work through many exam questions with them, as they are the key to being confident during the actual exam. As an aerospace engineering major, I've had to build a strong base in my Maths, Physics, and Chemistry, which is why those are the subjects I mainly specialise in. Currently, I'm happy to tutor students preparing for their GCSEs in these subjects, and Chemistry and Physics in A level and IB. Aside from my academics, I am an artist with a passion for capturing stunning landscapes in my paintings. I am a devoted educator committed to supporting others as they aim to achieve their potential. My colourful educational and professional background places me in an ideal position to help others understand complex information. I was born in Oldham, Manchester but grew up in Leicester in the East Midlands where I attended primary and secondary school, sixth-form, and university. I excelled at secondary school but found it tough at sixth-form, although I didn't help myself by picking five subjects in the first year: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, and Further Maths. After attending sixth-form, I studied on a MPhys Physics with Astrophysics degree at the University of Leicester and graduated in 2017. I then completed my PhD in Physics at the same university before becoming a STEM Teaching Fellow in the physics department. My area of research was/is planetary science and I study the interaction of Saturn's atmosphere and its aurorae. During my PhD, I was very fortunate to get the opportunity to travel to Hawaii, USA and Sendai, Japan for telescope observing and an international conference, respectively. I have previously worked at both the National Space Centre in Leicester and the Royal Observatory Greenwich in London. Both roles were public-facing and I interacted with visiting members of the public. In my current role I teach mathematics to foundation year students at the University of Leicester which includes lecturing, setting and marking exams, and 1-to-1 tutoring.

I am an undergraduate student currently studying at Bayes Business School. Upon completion of my O and A levels, I have found interest in tutoring and would like to help students in having a smoother transition throughout their terms. Hello! I’m Koby and am an honours graduate from the University of Cambridge with a background in natural sciences and medicine.
