My name is Lisa, and I’m a Modern and Medieval Languages (French and German) graduate from the University of Cambridge, currently pursuing an MSc in Financial History at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). With a strong academic foundation in Modern Languages, English, and Economics, I offer personalised, high-quality tutoring for students of all ages and abilities in French, German, Russian, and Economics across GCSE and A-Level curricula. I also teach English (Language and Literature) at all levels and support younger learners preparing for the 11+ and 13+ entrance exams, with a focus on English and verbal reasoning. With 5+ years of tutoring experience, I’m passionate about helping students not only excel academically but also develop confidence, independence, and a genuine interest in their subjects. I take a flexible and student-centred approach, adapting each lesson to suit individual goals, learning styles, and long-term aspirations. Above all, I aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, tackle challenges, and discover their full potential.

I hold Distinction in International Relations at LSE and First Class Honours in Politics and IR from the University of Manchester, ranking in the top 0.2% of my class and consistently 3 years in a row achieving the highest grades. Alongside my academic studies, I dedicated three years to mentoring students from a wide range of backgrounds, supporting both their academic performance and wellbeing. This commitment earned me a Peer Mentor Award. Moreover, I love to give it back to my community and during my academia I dedicated my free time and volunteered for dog shelters and environmental initiatives. I have extensive experience tutoring through my university, whether helping with admissions preparation, interview practice, or exam revision. Outside of teaching, I’m an avid horse rider, sports enthusiast, and love to lead fun book projects. A quick fun fact about me: last year, I have launched my clients book at the University of Oxford.
