I recently completed my A-Levels with A*s in Maths and Further Maths, and As in Physics and Chemistry, which landed me a place at the University of Warwick to study Maths and Stats. Before that, I achieved 7 Grade 9s at GCSE, including top grades in Maths, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Having gone through the exam process myself, I understand the challenges students face and the strategies that make a real difference. I'm a Global Development with International Relations student at the University of Manchester, with A-levels in Geography, History, and Politics. Passionate about the humanities, I also loved English language, literature, and creative writing at GCSE. I have been studying French and Spanish for over a decade and am currently pursuing Spanish at degree level. My own academic background includes grade 8 (A*) in both French and Spanish at GCSE, an A* in A-Level French, and an A in A-Level Spanish. For the past 9 months, I have been tutoring French and Spanish at GCSE and A-Level across Edexcel GCSE/IGCSE and AQA, with fantastic outcomes. I’ve come to deeply appreciate the impact of great teaching —something I was extremely privileged to have experienced firsthand during sixth form. The ease I felt when studying for GCSEs and A-Levels, knowing that I was receiving excellent teaching, is something I believe all students should experience. It is this which has inspired me to help students who are in the same position now that I was once in not so long ago. The rewarding nature of this work is something I have come to realise through tutoring for the 11+ examinations over the past year. I achieved 3A*s in Maths, Biology, and Chemistry A-Levels, alongside 10 Grade 9s and 2 Grade 8s at GCSE, by refining a focused, exam-strategy-driven approach. I applied the same method to UCAT preparation (scoring a 2980 Band 1, amongst the top 6% of test takers in 2023) and interview preparation; securing three medical offers, from Barts and the London, St George’s and Imperial. I've since created and delivered an interview tutorial for Year 12s with the PotMed branch of Imperial Muslim Medics, been a mock interviewer in PotMed’s mock MMI circuits, and created and conducted several mock interviews with two applicants (privately) — both of whom received medicine offers in the 2024–25 cycle. Now, I aim to help others achieve the same. For A-Levels and GCSEs, a typical lesson structure would involve initially identifying the student’s current level of understanding of a topic and their weak points, then building on from what they already know, carefully maintaining a balance between guided practice questions, independent work and then finally discussion and feedback. Over the long-term, I aim to implement a regular past-paper question-based strategy to master exam technique. For interviews, I aim to tailor sessions to each student’s target universities (especially for Imperial, Barts and St Georges), helping them build the soft skills and technical knowledge (for example medical ethics, motivations, or knowledge of the NHS), to succeed and secure their dream medical school offers.

My mission is to make Modern Languages and Maths fun and I want to help you achieve your goals. I offer Spanish, French and Polish from beginner to A Level standard, English as a Foregin Language, and early years to KS3 Mathematics. I tailor each lesson to the individual student, and I can provide homework as requested. I have experience teaching a variety of students and levels, as well as teaching students with learning difficulties. I love to travel and have lived and studied in several different countries, and I am super passionate about teaching foreign languages and educating people on other countries and cultures. I have gained immersive experience in all languages I teach, having lived, studied, and worked in the Caribbean (French), Barcelona (Spanish), Poland (Polish), and across the UK, Australia, and the USA (English as a foreign language). I am a recent graduate from University of Cambridge and a current foundation doctor working in the NHS. Having completed a Medicine degree in Cambridge, I have tried, first-hand, various revision and study techniques and are able to identify and adapt to individual student's needs. My personal strengths include biology and chemistry at both GCSE and A-levels, and I am also well-accustomed with the International Baccalaureate having completed the programme myself (achieved a score of 44 in total, 7s in all of my subjects). My particular niche as a tutor are as follows: 1. Medicine entrance exams and interview support - I have a wealth of experience tutoring students through UCAT (previously known as UKCAT) and also BMAT. I have also helped various students in their ESAT. - In addition, I am well versed in organising practice interviews (both panel and MMIs) in preparation for interviews from various universities around the UK. I focus my session on highlighting the individual student's strengths, discussing their personal statement and previous experiences in-depth. I also provide detailed feedback about the session, with clear goals of what to improve for their next practice interview. - I am also able to offer specific help with Oxbridge medicine interviews. Having supervised at Queens' college and also in clinical school, I am comfortable running supervision-like sessions with potential applicants. In these sessions, I focus on encouraging the students to think outside of the box and have an academic conversation. 2. Personal statement support for medicine - I remember feeling very lost when I was writing my personal statement for university 8 years ago. I have a structured approach to guide the students through this challenging time, having a conversation about their experiences and encouraging them to reflect on them. With this approach, I hope to bring out the student's unique talents and make these shine on paper. 3. iGCSE /GCSE support in science subjects for korean students - I have completed my school education in South Korea (in an international school). I personally found the initial stages of learning science subjects difficult, especially in a second language. I am able to provide tutoring in both languages (English and Korean) to reduce students' barriers to accessing knowledge, but also to encourage them to flourish in an environment they feel comfortable with. 4. IB Biology and Chemistry - I have tutored students at various levels for IB biology and chemistry, and adopt a structured approach to the curriculum. It is important to gain a good understanding of the key concepts of the syllabus, but it is also important to get ample practice in the types of questions that the IB curriculum demands. Having gone through this difficult curriculum myself, I am able to offer targeted sessions for my students to improve their knowledge and exam scores. - I am also able to offer help with internal assessments (IAs) in these subjects, having scored the highest in my school that year in both.
