Hi, I'm Mayan Wong! Currently I'm studying Physics at the University of Manchester. I thoroughly enjoy helping others deepen their understanding in STEM, and take a step by step approach to both learning and teaching. Everyone has a different path to understanding and excelling in their academic pursuits which I take into account, adapting my tutoring to meet individual needs. At A-level and GCSE particularly, I focus on exam technique and ensuring my students know exactly what they need to do to achieve top marks. My tuition covers Maths and Physics at all levels, and Biology and Chemistry at KS3. Because I sat my own GCSEs and A-Levels fairly recently, I still remember exactly what the pressure feels like: the maths mock you're dreading, the physics topic that still doesn't make sense no matter how many times you reread the notes. What makes me a well-suited tutor is that I'm close enough in age to relate to where my students are, but far enough along to know how to break a difficult idea down until it finally clicks. I am currently studying French and Italian at Durham University. Hi there! I graduated from the International Baccalaureate in May 2024, achieving 41/45 points with 7s in Higher Levels English Language & Literature, Psychology, and Music. I am currently an undergraduate Psychology student at Durham University, but have been tutoring on the side. Hello! My name is Aneel, and I am a graduate from the University of Manchester, where I obtained a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering. I was able to study this as I achieved three A's in Maths, Physics and Chemistry at A-level. I then went on to work as a manufacturing engineer at a production plant before undergoing a career change, and I am now currently training to become a business analyst. In terms of tutoring experience, I started volunteering as a tutor at a school where I taught a class of around 20 students in GCSE chemistry at an underprivileged school.
