Hi There! I'm Zoya and I was Head Girl at St. Dominic's Sixth Form College. During my time I consistently worked as a bridge between peers and the teaching staff/Governing body of the sixth form. I networked with politicians, dentists, doctors and set up opportunities such as Hustings events or talks with peers of the House of Lords to assist my peers, and would love to continue to do the same. At A-Level I achieved A* (English Literature), A (Law) and B (Politics), the subject I am currently studying at University Level. I have experience tutoring my peers from as young as year 4, and have always been a reliable choice for explaining concepts well and more. I know what it's like to feel lost in the classroom and unsure of how to ask, so knowing that my tutoring style would be welcoming to all questions, with the aim of being clear and flexible with my pace. I did receive an offer from Trinity College, Cambridge and would love to additionally help others on their UCAS journey's with personal statements, applications and interview practise. I fully understand the pressure of it all and would hope to be a friendly but firm ally during that time for another prospective Oxbridge student. I enjoy tutoring above all and I feel that's something that would shine through during sessions. I would be a punctual, flexible and reliable candidate, over-prepared for all sessions and enthusiastic. Thank you for taking the time to consider me!

Hi, my name is Alice and I am a first-year English Literature student at Durham University, offering high-quality, tailored English tuition designed to deliver clear academic results. With over three years of one-to-one private tutoring experience, I specialise in helping students develop sophisticated analytical skills, confident essay writing, and a deeper understanding of literature. My teaching style is highly personalised; I aim to structure each lesson around the student's goals and current level. My sessions are focused in maximising progress: - Targeted teaching of key concepts: building understanding of key themes, texts, and literary techniques - Guided analysis: developing interpretation skills and critical thinking - Exam technique: learning how to structure high-level answers in accordance with marking criteria - Practice questions: applying knowledge under time constraints - Detailed feedback: clear, actionable advice to improve quickly and effectively This approach ensures students understand the material AND know how to apply it under exam conditions. I achieved an A in A-Level English Literature. This academic background allows me to support students in producing high-level responses. Alongside my academic work, I bring a calm, professional, and encouraging approach. My experience working with young people internationally, including tutoring, au-pairing, and classroom support, has made me highly adaptable and effective at building strong, productive relationships with students. Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, want to view my CV, or want to book a trial session!

Hi, I'm Joshua. I'm a Computer Science graduate from Durham University and a working software developer with 7+ years of one-to-one tutoring experience. I specialise in A Level and IB Computer Science, with a particular focus on NEA and IA project supervision. What I'm best at: - A Level Computer Science NEA supervision. Structured guidance through analysis, design, technical implementation, testing and evaluation, including help identifying a credible client problem, setting measurable success criteria, and producing a write-up that meets the mark scheme. - IB Computer Science Internal Assessment supervision. End-to-end support developing computational solutions that satisfy the IB criteria, with written feedback between sessions. - A Level and IB Computer Science exam preparation across all paper components, AS through A2 and SL through HL. I also teach GCSE and IGCSE Computer Science, GCSE Maths, and Scottish Highers Computing, supporting students through exam technique, targeted topic work, and design-and-build coursework. A note on my approach: I build revision and project plans around the individual student rather than working through a generic curriculum. For project work I send written feedback between sessions, so contact time is spent solving problems rather than reviewing admin. My active industry experience also means I bring up-to-date insight into how Computer Science applies beyond the exam board specifications. If you're looking for a tutor for your child's NEA, IA, or Computer Science exam preparation, I'd be glad to help.

Very big improvement given a short period of time with only a small time period of about 3 months my daughter in year 10 has gone from a level U to a level 4 in her maths grade with her tutor Jose. He is a very good maths teacher and has very easy ways of doing hard GCSE maths. What my daughter used to find immensely hard is now very easy. Jose is sadly not her tutor anymore but this was a very great experience and will be looking forward to using this company again for my daughter to get high grades and pass her GCSE’s thank you very much.

Excellent service, highly recommented Booked a block of Lessons leading up to my sons maths exam as maths was his weakest subject and he felt he wanted help. Pia (the tutor) was patient and professional and explained things in a way my son could easily understand. He looked forward to each lesson and felt the lessons gave him the confidence, knowledge and understanding he needed to face his maths GCSE exam. He thinks he did really well in his first exam and we are so pleased we invested in the lessons leading up to his GCSE’s. Can’t recommend Edumentors and Pia enough. Really professional service and well worth the money.

The tutoring times were really flexible and the tutor themselves (Izzy Mitchell) was amazing. The level of communication allowed between the student and tutor made it easy for my questions to be answered quickly. So thank you so much Edumentors and Izzy! Personally, I went from a 6 to a 9 in AQA English literature in just a few weeks so if you are thinking about it, give it a go!

Absolutely superb. Helped my son move from a predicted D in Maths to an actual A, in year. Highly recommend both Edumentors and specifically Apoorv as a tutor. It was easy to set-up, pay and manage. Any issues were solved quickly and without fuss.

Fantastic Flexible German Tutoring We had Imogen from Edumentor tutoring my daughter for GCSE’s. Imogen is a fantastic tutor and through the year prepared my daughter enabling her to get a 9 in German. Edumentor were extremely flexible and helpful in ensuring we could have the sessions when we needed them the most. I would throughly recommend using them for your GCSE tutoring.

Need a Tutor to Help Your Child Succeed?

Looking to find tutors online for your child? Whether you need support with GCSE preparation, A-Levels, IB, 11 Plus or KS3 learning, personalised one to one tuition can help students build confidence, strengthen subject knowledge and achieve their academic goals. Many families begin searching for tutors when a student needs extra support in a challenging subject, wants to improve grades or would benefit from more individual attention than is available in a busy classroom.

Some families prefer local tutors, while others choose online tuition because it offers greater flexibility and access to specialist teachers from across the UK. Students may benefit from support from GCSE tutors , A-Level tutors , IGCSE tutors or IB tutors depending on their qualifications and learning needs. Younger learners often work with KS3 tutors or 11 Plus tutors to build strong foundations before progressing to more advanced study. Students seeking subject-specific guidance often begin with Maths tutors before expanding support into other areas.

FAQs

If you still need assistance, our support team is always available to answer your questions and help you choose the right tutor for your educational goals and learning needs.

Need help? Contact us
Choosing the right tutor depends on your child’s academic goals, current level and learning style. Some students need targeted support from GCSE tutors, while others benefit from guidance from A-Level tutors as examinations become more demanding. It is helpful to compare tutor experience, subject expertise, teaching style and availability before making a decision. A good tutor should be able to adapt lessons to the student's individual needs.
