Hi, I’m Onyiu, a passionate tutor with 1 year of tutoring experience, dedicated to helping students build confidence in A-Level Psychology, IGCSE First Language English, and IGCSE Global Perspectives. As a second-year psychology student at the University of Bath (with an achieved First Class mark in first-year), I am able to constantly build onto my own learning and understanding of the field whilst simultaneously imparting this onto my students. This enables me to be able to provide that extra depth in my lessons. Through tutoring, I want to help other students reach their full academic potential, regardless of the academic level they are currently working at, regardless of whether they themselves believe they are capable of doing so. I want to be the academic cheerleader for students that I wish I had when I was struggling in school. What sets me apart from most tutors is I know all too well what it feels like to struggle academically. To grind nonstop in the discouraging absence of results armed with nothing but unwavering grit and determination to prove your own academic potential to yourself. But I also know what it feels like to exceed my own expectations, and I want to help others do the same. In terms of my other accomplishments, I have written, edited, and published a non-fiction introductory book to Psychology - "Maybe You Can Read Minds Too: The Only Introduction to Psychology You'll Ever Need (or want)", which is available for purchase on Amazon. In 2024, I also won Northeastern University London's Essay Competition for Psychology, with my essay titled: "To what extent do mental factors impact ageing?" In my IGCSEs, I achieved 6A*s (highest achievable) and 2As in First Language English, Chemistry, World Literature, Geography, Global Perspectives, Business Studies, Mathematics, and Drama. For sixth form, I studied at Cheltenham Ladies College and achieved A*AAA in EPQ, A-Level Psychology, English Literature, and Mathematics (3 marks away from A*). Having written an EPQ has also equipped me with highly effective time management skills. I believe this will significantly contribute to my effectiveness as a tutor, alongside the empathy I have cultivated having experienced the countless trials and tribulations of my own academic career.

Hi There! I'm Zoya and I was Head Girl at St. Dominic's Sixth Form College. During my time I consistently worked as a bridge between peers and the teaching staff/Governing body of the sixth form. I networked with politicians, dentists, doctors and set up opportunities such as Hustings events or talks with peers of the House of Lords to assist my peers, and would love to continue to do the same. At A-Level I achieved A* (English Literature), A (Law) and B (Politics), the subject I am currently studying at University Level. I have experience tutoring my peers from as young as year 4, and have always been a reliable choice for explaining concepts well and more. I know what it's like to feel lost in the classroom and unsure of how to ask, so knowing that my tutoring style would be welcoming to all questions, with the aim of being clear and flexible with my pace. I did receive an offer from Trinity College, Cambridge and would love to additionally help others on their UCAS journey's with personal statements, applications and interview practise. I fully understand the pressure of it all and would hope to be a friendly but firm ally during that time for another prospective Oxbridge student. I enjoy tutoring above all and I feel that's something that would shine through during sessions. I would be a punctual, flexible and reliable candidate, over-prepared for all sessions and enthusiastic. Thank you for taking the time to consider me!

Hi! My name is Sahdev and I am a passionate and engaging tutor specialising in 11+ preparation and A level economics, politics and geography. I achieved A*AA in A level and am about to begin my studies at the University of Warwick. I pride myself in being a clear and effective communicator who can break down complex topics into simple explanations that are easy to understand. My teaching style is interactive and tailored to each student’s needs as I look to help them build confidence as well as knowledge. Having recently gone through the exam process myself, I understand the challenges students face and can provide up to date exam strategies, revision techniques and a real insight into what examiners are looking for. If you’re looking for a tutor who is approachable, committed and results-driven, I’d love to help you succeed!

Hi, my name is Max! I’m currently a first-year student at the University of Warwick studying History and Politics. I am looking to tutor students at both A-Level and GCSE (History) levels and help them get the best possible grade. Before university, I took a year to travel the world, giving me valuable life experience, meaning I am mature, reliable, and patient, and will bring these skills alongside my subject knowledge and a positive energy to help as a tutor. I have success in these subjects, achieving an A* in History and an A in Politics at A-Level, as well as seven Grade 9’s at GCSE, including in History. I studied GCSE History (Edexcel), taking the Cold War, Weimar & Nazi Germany, and Elizabethan England topics. At A-Level History (OCR) I took the topics of Russia 1894-1941, Colonialism to Independence (British Empire), and Alfred & the Making of England (Anglo-Saxons). I also did a personal study essay on the factors motivating the USA in the Vietnam War and an Extended Project Qualification on the Cuban Revolution, achieving an A*. I did A-Level Politics (Edexcel) and can help students prepare for either UK politics, US politics, or ideologies (including Feminism). I can help students revise and prepare for exams on any of these topics, and have a keen interest in them myself. I am a strong believer that for humanities subjects the best way to revise and prepare for exams is to plan essay questions, and I can help students in the best way to do this (ensuring that students incorporate what the examiner is looking for). I am also happy to help students recap their knowledge on particular parts of the course and ensure understanding of the fundamental concepts, ideas, definitions, and examples. I also have some direct experience as a tutor, as I acted as a mentor for Numeracy and Literacy for students between Years 7-9, helping young students progress in Maths and English. As an undergraduate student, my interests lie largely in modern history, looking at revolutions, colonialism (and decolonisation), and how the modern world was made (ranging from travel and epidemics, to slavery and the environment). I am also studying the history of the Middle East, looking at oil in Iran and Arabia, the Palestine conflict in Israel, and the broader issue of Islamic militarism. In Politics, I am looking at core political concepts and ideas, ideologies, and theories of international relations and global governance. I can bring my knowledge from this and my experience as a GCSE/A-Level student to help students prepare for their exams or generally improve their foundation in History and/or Politics. I look forward to meeting and teaching you!

Hi, I’m Dylan, a PPE student at Durham University, offering tutoring in Maths, Economics, Politics and Religious Studies. I achieved an A* in A-level Economics, A's in Maths and Politics. I have experience informally tutoring friends and family through GCSE content and helping them prepare for assessments. In Maths and Economics, I break calculations and diagrams into clear, manageable stages before helping students attempt questions independently. In Politics, I focus on understanding key ideas, structuring arguments, using evidence and developing evaluation. I adapt sessions to each student’s exam board, confidence and areas of difficulty, while keeping lessons relaxed, structured and focused on genuine progress. Outside university, I play guitar in a band and work part time at a bird park.

Hi, I am Andrew, an LSE student reading history. I am a strong believer that anyone who has the right guidance and a way into a topic or subject can achieve the very best grades. Similarly, with universities I believe that my experience of getting an offer at London’s best university (8 applications per place), according to the Complete University Guide and The Times, shows the strength of my approach. As a fully qualified Tennis Coach I have considerable experience in coaching people and in communicating effectively with people, all of whom learn in different ways. Coaching tennis has taught me important time management skills, when balancing that with academic work. I achieved 10 A* at GCSE (5 at Grade 8; 5 at Grade 9) and achieved 2 A* in History and in Economics and an A in Politics at A Level. I am particularly keen to help A Level Economics student who may struggle with the longer essay response questions, especially if they come from a STEM background where essays are not the norm for assessment. I am also interested in helping A Level History and Politics students. Likewise, I feel that I have much to offer GCSE students in Geography and History where I achieved two grade 9s. Moreover, I am also happy to help with university applications and to offer guidance over which course is best suited. I am happy to adapt to whichever learning style suits you best. My experience with coaching and three years tutoring has helped me to become very adaptable.
