I attended Manchester Metropolitan University for my undergraduate to learn French with Spanish. I was able to deepen my understanding of the cultural history and what the issues in society were in both countries via films, books and the topic of multiculturalism. In my 3rd year of university I went on my year aboard to completely immerse myself into both cultures. First I went to Reims, France for 5 months, where I taught English to primary children and toddlers at an English private school, it was a reveting experience. Later to Murcia, Spain for 6 months to the University of Murcia, where I studied travel and tourism, film studies and also additional Spanish language classes. I loved my time in Murcia, funnily enough I just didn't want to come back. I must say my year aboard truly allowed me to acquire various new skills as well as reflect on all the opportunities ahead in the field of work. Which led to me choosing to study once more after my last year of university. I decided to study a PGCE MFL French with Spanish for a year and graduated at King's College London. These achievements not only reflect my grasp of both languages but portraits my dedication and desire to speak these languages fluently as well as teaching them.
