I am a motivated and reliable undergraduate at the University of Nottingham with about three years of tutoring experience. I have worked with Early Years and 11+ students, helping them build confidence, strengthen their core skills, and prepare for entrance exams for two years. I also have experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), providing one-to-one tuition in Functional Skills English and Maths to help them prepare for their exams. Hi, I’m Larissa! I’m a naturally chatty, friendly and supportive person who loves helping students feel more confident in their abilities. For me, tutoring is about helping students work towards the grades they’re aiming for while also building their understanding, confidence and enjoyment of the subject. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and find an approach that works best for them. I’ve supported younger students during sixth form as well as tutoring my younger brother and family friends’ children. One of the things I’ve really enjoyed is seeing students become more confident as they start to understand a topic that they initially found difficult. Academically, I achieved an A* in English Literature and Language A Level, an A in Psychology and Grade 8s in the GCSE subjects I tutor.
