Hello! My name is Praveen and I am a a student studying Medicine at King’s College London. At GCSE, I achieved all 7-9 grades including six 9 grades and at A-Level, I achieved 4 A grades alongside an A* in my EPQ. I have tutored students for over 7 years from a variety of different backgrounds, tailoring my teaching approach to fit student needs. Hello, my name is Ben, and I am in my second year studying mathematics at Exeter. At GCSE I achieved a 9 in Mathematics, and an A at A-level, with an A* in my EPQ. I have built my approach to mathematics on the back of all my hobbies. I have spent over 10 years studying and performing close-up and stage magic. I also spend my time playing chess and similar games. I have even managed to reach a rating of 2000 on Lichess. Thanks to the university, I have also learnt how to play TTRPGs, and I now run a DnD campaign every week. I then spend what little time I have left experimenting with cooking and coffee brewing. My approach to tutoring is to start by going through some questions to check the student's understanding of core concepts, then based on this I focus on weaker areas, and points that the student is having trouble with. Hello, I'm Olu — a graduate from the University of Cambridge, studying for an MEng in Aerospace Engineering within the Department of Engineering. I have over three years of tutoring experience, specialising in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics at GCSE and A Level. My teaching journey began by helping younger family members, and has since expanded to supporting a wide range of students — many of whom have progressed from grade 6s and Bs to securing 9s and A*s. As part of my role, I ran regular training sessions for colleagues and interns, many of whom told me up front that they weren't "numbers people." This experience shaped how I teach. When a student struggles with maths, there's usually one specific thing from earlier in the syllabus that they missed, and everything built on top of it has felt incomprehensible ever since. I have come a long way to achieving this by achieving A*AA in Sociology, Mathematics and Physics at a level and also 8s in Maths and sciences at GCSE.
