Tutoring will allow me to share the advice that I once received - and offer guidance wherever I can. As of February, I have offered weekly English literature/ language lessons for a GCSE student, providing me with the experience to confidently support students in their learning. I hope to make my lessons as accessible and affordable as I can - and I am open to any feedback on how I can make adjustments/ improvements. With your exam board and texts, I can gather, share and discuss a variety of example essays/ resources with you. My approach is one that encourages dynamic and open discussions to embrace the individual academic interests and passions of each student - and build a curiosity in the subject. This enables students to freely navigate the many interpretations and nuances offered by literary texts alongside the authorial intentions attached to them. To develop students' independent critical thinking and analytical skills, each lesson will keep the close analysis of language and structure as a focal point.

I'm a Global Development with International Relations student at the University of Manchester, with A-levels in Geography, History, and Politics. Passionate about the humanities, I also loved English language, literature, and creative writing at GCSE. I graduated with a First from Oxford last year for my undergraduate History BA. I am really passionate about teaching and this year I have engaged in a variety of teaching roles, including volunteering as an English teacher for 3 months in Nepal.
