Before focusing on tutoring full-time, I was a Teacher of Science at United Learning (2020–2022) and a CREST Award Assessor for the British Science Association (2017–2020). These roles gave me invaluable experience working directly with students and recognising their achievements. In terms of qualifications, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Birkbeck, University of London, in 2015, followed by my Postgraduate Diploma in Education and Leadership (PGDE) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in 2021 and 2022. But my journey in science started well before that. As a student, I explored fascinating areas of biology through internships at top institutions like Cambridge, UCL, and the University of Münster. From protein crystallography and bioinformatics to cutting-edge research on aging, these experiences shaped my understanding of science and how to make it approachable and exciting for students. One of my proudest moments was as part of Birkbeck’s very first iGEM team in 2015. We took on a synthetic biology challenge, designed plasmid constructs, and even presented our work in Boston, USA, earning a Bronze award. I believe in making science relatable and engaging, helping students not only achieve their academic goals but also develop a genuine curiosity for the subject. Whether it’s simplifying complex concepts, preparing for exams, or inspiring a love for science, I’m here to help. If you’re looking for a tutor who combines experience, enthusiasm, and a proven approach to improving grades and confidence, I’d love to hear from you! Let’s make learning a journey of discovery. 😊

Hi, I'm Jasmin! I'm currently studying Biomedical Science and have always had a passion for science and helping others learn. During my A-levels, I had the opportunity to mentor and tutor younger students, which showed me how rewarding it is to help someone their confidence and achieve their goals. Since then, I've enjoyed supporting students by breaking down challenging topics into simple, manageable steps and adapting my teaching style to suit each individual's way of learning. Academically, I achieved 4 Grade 9s, 3 Grade 8s, and 3 Grade 7s at GCSE across Triple Science, Maths, and English. I understand that exams can feel overwhelming, so I aim to create a relaxed, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence. My goal isn't just to help students improve their grades, but to help them develop a genuine understanding of the subject and enjoy learning along the way. I also enjoy supporting students as they plan their next steps in education, helping them feel confident and prepared for whatever comes next, having recently been through the process myself. :) Outside of my studies, I enjoy art, keeping active at the gym, and spending time with friends and family. These hobbies help me maintain a good balance between work and personal life, and I believe they're a reminder of how important it is to look after your wellbeing while studying. I strive to bring that same positive and encouraging attitude into every lesson, helping students feel motivated, supported, and capable of reaching their full potential.

Hi! I’m Liv, a final-year student at KCL. I’ve been tutoring for several years now, from one-to-one support and volunteering in a local London school to peer mentoring in high school, where I helped IGCSE students boost their confidence and grades. One highlight I’m really proud of is receiving the Cambridge Learner Award for IGCSE Mathematics for achieving the highest score in the country. I truly believe strong foundations and practice matter - but having a tutor who’s patient, encouraging, and has your back when things get tricky makes learning so much easier. I’ve been through GCSEs and A Levels myself, so I know how stressful it can feel doing it alone. Results are important, but I also care about how you learn! My aim is to make lessons supportive, engaging, and even enjoyable, so you feel confident every step of the way.
