I break difficult concepts into clear, manageable steps and regularly check understanding before moving forward. If something isn’t clicking, I’ll change the explanation or approach until we find what works for that student. We then use targeted practice and exam-style questions to identify and strengthen weaker areas. For exam students, we focus heavily on exam technique too — understanding what questions are actually asking, applying knowledge to unfamiliar problems and learning how to turn that knowledge into marks. Having delivered 2,000+ lessons, I’ve learnt that knowing a subject isn’t enough to teach it well. A good tutor needs to understand the individual student and be able to adapt until a difficult concept finally clicks.
