Find Your Perfect Chemistry Tutor In Birmingham

Hi, I’m Imane Yachkouri, a Neuroscience student at Queen Mary University of London and an experienced GCSE Biology and Chemistry tutor with over two years of tutoring experience. I achieved Grade 9s in both GCSE Biology and Chemistry, and I now use the knowledge and exam techniques that helped me achieve those results to support my students. Having recently been through the GCSE system myself, I understand the challenges students face and, more importantly, how to overcome them. My teaching focuses on more than simply learning the content. I’m particularly good at breaking down difficult concepts into simple, understandable steps and then helping students apply that knowledge to exam questions. I also place a strong emphasis on exam technique and understanding mark schemes, so students know exactly what examiners are looking for and how to turn their knowledge into marks. After two years of tutoring, I’ve helped students build their confidence, improve their understanding and achieve their academic goals — and often exceed the grades they initially thought were possible. I believe every student can make significant progress with the right approach. My aim is to make Biology and Chemistry feel less overwhelming, while giving students the confidence, knowledge and exam skills they need to succeed.

Hello, my name is Ayomide. I’m a Maths and Chemistry, for GCSE and IGCSE students, currently studying Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Birmingham. I have a stellar academic record at GCSE, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support students effectively. Each lesson is tailored to the tutee’s needs — I start by identifying weaker areas, then work through the specification in detail. I aim to make these subjects engaging by encouraging students to ask questions and actively participate in lessons. I break down difficult concepts using diagrams and structured notes that we build together during the lesson, so the student always has something to revise from. Tutoring is something I take seriously. Helping students gain confidence and reach their academic goals is my top priority, and I always aim to create a supportive and focused learning environment. I hope I can be of help to anyone who books with me and look forward to seeing you make progress

I am currently a first year Computer Engineering student at the University Of Birmingham, my experience applying to University has allowed him to aid several other students with the process. I've been tutoring since 2021 giving me a great level of experience. I began tutoring when a couple family friends asked if I could tutor their children due to my high GCSE grades and am now an alumni of St' Olave's Grammar School (4th best secondary state school in London). Hi there! I’m a tutor specialising in GCSE and A-Level Maths, Physics and Chemistry. I studied Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London, followed by a Master’s in Innovation Engineering at both Imperial and the Royal College of Art. I achieved A*, A, A, A in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry at A-Level. I focus on making complex ideas simple using visual explanations, real-world examples, and patient guidance, especially for students who lack confidence or don’t feel “naturally academic”. Being neurodiverse myself, I understand that everyone learns differently, and I adapt my teaching to suit each student’s pace, personality and learning style. I’ve helped students grow both in ability and confidence. One of my students felt overwhelmed with maths and doubted whether he could pass, but through clear explanations and encouragement, he rebuilt his confidence and proudly passed with a Grade 4. Outside academics, I’m a silver medallist at the Kabaddi World Cup 2025, which has taught me discipline, resilience, and how to motivate others, qualities I bring into my teaching. I love helping students believe in themselves, enjoy learning, and realise that they are capable of so much more than they think. If you have any questions, I’d be happy to chat. I look forward to helping your child reach their full potential, both academically and in confidence!

Hi, I’m Qadir! I’m a graduate doctor (MD) and experienced tutor specialising in Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry from KS3 through to A-level. I also hold a BSc in Neuroscience from the University of Exeter and have been professionally tutoring since 2021, delivering over 2,000 online lessons to students with a wide range of abilities and academic goals. Your child’s target becomes our target I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all tutoring. Every student learns differently, so every student I teach gets an approach tailored specifically to them. I take the time to understand your child’s current level, strengths, weaknesses and target grade. From there, I build our lessons around closing the gap between where they are now and where they want to be. Whether that’s moving from a Grade 4 to a 6, pushing from a 6 towards an 8/9, or working towards an A/A* at A-level, their target becomes the focus of our lessons. How will we get there? I break difficult concepts into clear, manageable steps and regularly check understanding before moving forward. If something isn’t clicking, I’ll change the explanation or approach until we find what works for that student. We then use targeted practice and exam-style questions to identify and strengthen weaker areas. For exam students, we focus heavily on exam technique too — understanding what questions are actually asking, applying knowledge to unfamiliar problems and learning how to turn that knowledge into marks. Having delivered 2,000+ lessons, I’ve learnt that knowing a subject isn’t enough to teach it well. A good tutor needs to understand the individual student and be able to adapt until a difficult concept finally clicks. Building confidence — and working towards the future My goal isn’t simply to help your child through their next test. I want them to become a confident, independent learner with the problem-solving and critical-thinking skills they need to succeed without constantly relying on a tutor. I’m also happy to support students with their wider academic and professional goals. Having progressed through neuroscience, university and medical training myself, I understand how today’s grades can influence tomorrow’s A-level choices, university opportunities and future careers. Whether your child needs to catch up, rebuild their confidence, achieve a particular target grade or push towards the very highest grades, I’ll build our approach around what they need to get there. If you’re looking for a tutor who will understand your child as an individual, take their targets seriously and genuinely invest in their progress, I’d be delighted to work with them.

Hey guys! I’m Kirti, an A-level tutor in Maths, Biology and Chemistry, and a medical student myself specialising in the Medicine application process, so I know first-hand what these subjects demand. I focus on building genuine understanding rather than memorising for the exam, breaking technique down step-by-step around the mark scheme and where marks are usually lost. That way you understand the thought process behind answering a question and are equipped for any curveballs the exam boards throw at you. I bring topics to life with real examples and interactive tools to keep sessions engaging. Friendly, approachable and patient, I ensure every student leaves more confident than they arrived.
