I am currently an undergraduate at the University of Manchester reading East AsIan Studies. I have over 16 years of Chinese learning experience and several years of voluntary teaching experience, running support clinics resulting in student attainment increasing by two letter grades. I achives an A* in IB SL & IGCSE Chinese as well. as a an A* in Edexcel IGCSE History.

A passionate Maths, Further Math, Physics and Mandarin tutor with a First Class Honours in BSc Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science, as well as 4A*s in A-levels. Having won a silver medal in the 2021 International Economics Olympiad (IEO) despite having only learnt Economics for a year at the time, Bik is great at breaking down complex concepts into simpler, digestible ones. I’m a second year Maths with Economics student at UCL with over two years of tutoring experience. I know how important the right support can be because I went to a state school myself, where resources were limited. Even so, I achieved all grade 9s at GCSE, including English and Further Maths, and went on to finish top of my year at school. At A level I achieved A* in Further Maths and Maths and A in Chemistry and Chinese. I am a Biomedical Engineering student at King's College London. I graduated from the French International School of Hong Kong, where I completed both the IB Diploma and IGCSEs. I achieved a score of 40/45 in the IB and earned 8 A grades and 2 A* grades in my IGCSEs. My IGCSE subjects included Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Computer Science, English Literature, English Language, Mathematics, and Further Mathematics. I have 3 years of tutoring experience, specialising in programming, 3D design, and STEM subjects. During this time, I have tutored more than a dozen IGCSE students in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, as well as supporting over three KS3 students in English. In addition, I have taught over 20 students in programming and 3D design and currently work with three active students learning Python and Blender.

Hi, I'm Max, a master's student currently studying in China. I've been learning Chinese for over 10 years, including two years of studying the language in China. This has given me strong language skills and a deep appreciation of Chinese culture. Learning Chinese has given me a genuine passion for languages, and I really enjoy helping others build confidence and achieve their own language goals. I understand the challenges learners face when learning Chinese because I've experienced the journey myself, so I aim to make lessons clear, practical, and enjoyable. Alongside my language experience, I have one year of classroom teaching experience, including teaching English as a foreign language to international students at a summer school. This experience taught me how to explain concepts clearly and adapt lessons to different learning styles. Lessons are personalised to suit the student's goals, ability, and preferred way of learning. Whether they are a complete beginner or preparing for GCSE Chinese, lessons will be engaging, supportive, and designed to help them build confidence and progress towards fluency.
