Hello! I'm currently studying Urban Planning, Design and Management at UCL and am passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals while building confidence in their abilities. Having recently completed my A-Levels, I understand the pressures and challenges that students face throughout their studies. I achieved A*A*A in Geography, Religious Studies and Design & Technology, which has given me strong subject knowledge as well as effective revision and exam techniques that I now enjoy sharing with others. I've been tutoring for over two years, working with students across Maths, English Language & Literature, French, Spanish and Geography. I've taught learners at different levels and stages, and I tailor my approach depending on what each subject and each student actually needs. Every student I've worked with has improved by at least one grade within 8 weeks. That includes taking students from failing GCSE Maths to passing, giving them a level of confidence in the subject they didn't have before. With languages, I've helped students who were nervous and too scared to speak go from staying silent in lessons to properly holding a conversation, simply by making mistakes feel like a normal part of learning rather than something to be afraid of. My sessions are bespoke to you rather than built around a fixed syllabus, and they adapt as you progress, so we're never working from a plan that's stopped being useful. I lean heavily on real world examples to make each subject click, because in my experience most students don't lack ability, they lack a reason to care about the material in front of them. Once that reason is there, progress tends to follow quickly. I'm trilingual, with French and Spanish to C1 level and Catalan to B2, alongside a TEFL qualification, passed with Merit. I’m Luke, I am a Natural sciences student at Cambridge. Studied Maths Chemistry Biology and geography at A level. This summer I am a Teaching intern at SMC/vantage. I have taught whole lessons in the sciences and geography from ks3 to a level. A massive fan of conservation and nature, formula one and football. Sadly I am a spurs fan so the less said about football the better. I’m a member of the rspb so I do enjoy bird watching and every summer for the past 2 years I’ve volunteered to teach ecology and data analysis to year 12 students in Morecambe‘s salt marshes over a whole week. The best bit about teaching for me is the moment it clicks, specifically when a student doesn't understand a concept, reframing my approach and it eventually working is as good as it gets.

I am Alice, a first class Classics graduate from Oxford University. I have been tutoring formally for four years and I offer tutoring for English Language, History, Geography, Biology, Chemistry and Maths up to GCSE level, as well as Latin and Greek up to A level standard. I achieved 9s in all of these subjects, with 98% in History, 97% in Geography (top in the exam board), 98% in Maths (and 94% in Additional Mathematics), 98% in Latin, and 97% in Greek (I did not receive percentages in Chemistry and Biology but achieved 97 and 99% respectively in my mocks). I can also provide mentorship for University applications, particularly for Oxbridge. My tutoring style consists of both general teaching (such as Latin, Greek and English Language from scratch) as well as specification-based teaching. My main focus is on inspiring confidence and encouraging productive revision techniques, including an emphasis on past papers and tailoring one's answers to what the exam board wants. I believe that, by learning from examiners' reports and mark schemes, one can provide the examiner with exactly what they want to hear. This is crucial for achieving top marks or for jumping up several grades.

I graduated with a First from Oxford last year for my undergraduate History BA. I am really passionate about teaching and this year I have engaged in a variety of teaching roles, including volunteering as an English teacher for 3 months in Nepal.
