I have been tutoring for 2 years with a mixture of online and in-person tutoring. I am currently tutoring at GCSE, A level and Common Entrance (11+ and 13+) levels. I thoroughly enjoy tutoring and watching students become more confident and motivated in their studies through understanding the material and answering questions. I take different approaches to lessons depending on the need of the child. With some I teach the whole syllabus from start to finish, others students have specific topics they would like to go through and some solely want exam practice. Hello! I’m Koby and am a 3rd year medical student at the University of Cambridge. With over 5 years of tutoring experience, I focus on a holistic, engaging and student-centric approach to teaching, whilst sharing my passion and love for learning! Understanding a topic is one thing but understanding what the examiners are looking for can sometimes be a whole other issue. Using my experience, I tailor my lessons to the student’s needs to help them achieve both, whilst utilising my extensive bank of exam questions to guide the student with worked examples and build their confidence. I also share effective learning strategies and tips that make learning enjoyable and easier. This has helped many of my students achieve top grades and personally helped me achieve 10A*’s at (I)GCSE and 4A*’s at A-Level/Pre-U in Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Biology. Hi! I'm Keerthana, a 2nd year aerospace engineering student at the University of Nottingham. My informal experience of tutoring stems from teaching my cousins, which was a rewarding journey that allowed me to sharpen my patience and creativity. Along the way, I've discovered that the ability to tailor explanations to students is just as important as the knowledge itself. When I was doing my (I)GCSE, I found questions easier to solve when I entirely understood it. Even the littlest missing pieces of knowledge made a huge difference to me. So, as a tutor, my first goal would be ensure that my students have a strong understanding of the topic. To strengthen their knowledge, I would also work through many exam questions with them, as they are the key to being confident during the actual exam. As an aerospace engineering major, I've had to build a strong base in my Maths, Physics, and Chemistry, which is why those are the subjects I mainly specialise in. Currently, I'm happy to tutor students preparing for their GCSEs in these subjects. Aside from my academics, I am an artist with a passion for capturing stunning landscapes in my paintings.
