Hi! I’m Brooklyn, a second-year medical student at the University of Manchester. I have over two years of tutoring experience, having worked with students taking the IGCSE in Geography, History, English Language, and English Literature. I'm a French tutor at the university, and also teach at La Petite École de Manchester, where I work with children aged 5 and 6. My teaching approach emphasises on patience, encouragement, and adapting to each student’s individual learning style. Beyond academics, I’ve worked with children with autism and cerebral palsy and volunteer with Make a Smile to help bring joy to children with additional needs. I am a second year dental student at Newcastle University with a passion for supporting students excel in their learning helping them achieve and exceed their goals! I achieved 9 grade 9s in my GCSEs, got 3 A*s in my A levels and a 3020 on the UCAT. I have been tutoring for nearly 2 years and i really enjoy helping students feel more confident in subjects they once struggled with. in my free time i enjoy reading, travelling, spending time with friends, arts and crafts & going to the gym.

I have been able to achieve an A* in English Literature and 9 in GCSE English-Literature after struggling to get passed D/C's initially at the start of those educational milestones. I have mulitple years of tutoring experience, both within a tutoring centre and independently. While working at TOP LEARNING (Sept 2022 – March 2023), I supported students from Year 1 to Year 11 through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions, tailoring my approach to different learning styles and confidence levels. I particularly enjoyed helping students build self-belief alongside academic skills, especially in GCSE English, as well as Maths and English at primary level. I have tutored independently on an ad hoc basis, including voluntary A-Level English Literature support. Most recently, I worked closely with a student through the final stages of her A-Levels and saw her progress from a predicted D to a just 1 mark off a B in English Literature, which reinforced for me how personalised teaching and encouragement can make a real difference. I would also love to tutor LNAT lessons. I have had 2 years of mentoring students, supporting with applications and answering questions as a Sutton Trust Pathways to Law Mentor during my where I won an Outstanding Contribution Award (2026). The students were supported from year 12 to year 13 where they ended the tenure listening to a speech I was invited to give that enabled the students to gracefully close that chapter of their lives. Pouring into those younger than me has always been a passion of mine that I have invested in and learned to grow in this area.

Hello everyone! My name is Lakshmi, and I'm currently studying Medicine at UCL. I achieved a Grade 9 at GCSE and an A* in A-level Biology, including a score of 23/25 in the essay component, as well as a Grade 9 at GCSE and an A in A-level Chemistry. Having previously tutored students independently, I've learnt that the best lessons are those where you feel comfortable asking questions and learning at your own pace. My goal is to make difficult concepts easy to understand through clear, structured explanations while helping students build confidence alongside achieving the grades they're aiming for. Exploring different time-saving techniques, mnemonics and utilising past paper questions are priorities within my personalised lesson plans. Hi, I'm Emily and I've recently graduated from the University of St Andrews with a First Class Master of Arts (Hons) in English. I'm passionate about education and first discovered my love for teaching when I began tutoring Year 11 students for their IGCSE English exams in Sixth Form. One aspect of medicine that I truly appreciate is how academically stimulating it is - you never stop learning! Even ten or twenty years into my career, I know there will be more new and exciting research coming out to further my knowledge. Medicine is based on learning difficult concepts and being able to manipulate medical jargon into simple terms when speaking to patients.
