Hello, my name is Ben, and I am in my second year studying mathematics at Exeter. At GCSE I achieved a 9 in Mathematics, and an A at A-level, with an A* in my EPQ. I have built my approach to mathematics on the back of all my hobbies. I have spent over 10 years studying and performing close-up and stage magic. I also spend my time playing chess and similar games. I have even managed to reach a rating of 2000 on Lichess. Thanks to the university, I have also learnt how to play TTRPGs, and I now run a DnD campaign every week. I then spend what little time I have left experimenting with cooking and coffee brewing. My approach to tutoring is to start by going through some questions to check the student's understanding of core concepts, then based on this I focus on weaker areas, and points that the student is having trouble with. Hi there! My name is Antigone, though most people call me Tiggy. I'm in my final year at King's College London studying Psychology (BSc). I’ve always been passionate about learning and helping others with their studies. During school, I volunteered as a teaching assistant in a special education school and taught computer science to Years 7–9 at a nearby school. After finishing school, I also had the privilege of teaching in orphanages in India. As someone who was in the same place as many A level students only a couple of years ago, I know what the exams are like and how to prepare for each one most effectively. Hi there! I’m Kamo and I’m currently a medical student at The University of Sheffield. In my experience of being a tutor and over two years of being a mentor to prospective medical students, I have learned the importance of understanding my students first in order to guide them where they would like to go. Accordingly, I am very passionate about fostering enthusiastic, confident and curious learners. In particular, I enjoy teaching and learning about Maths and Chemistry for their wide range of applications across academia and in conceptualising daily life.
