I am a History and Politics student entering my second year at the University of Warwick. I have previous experience privately tutoring AQA GCSE History to a year 11 student through online sessions. I find tutoring incredibly rewarding, enjoying watching students progress and grow in confidence. I’m a friendly, enthusiastic and adaptable gap-year student with a passion for helping others learn and reach their full potential. I teach a range of subjects up to GCSE level, tailoring my approach to suit each student’s individual needs, learning style and goals. My own academic journey hasn’t always been easy. I’ve experienced the frustration of struggling with subjects and feeling like something just wasn’t clicking. However, I was able to overcome these challenges through persistence, finding different ways of understanding difficult topics, and developing study techniques that worked for me. This experience has given me a genuine understanding of how difficult learning can sometimes feel, and I bring that patience and empathy into my teaching. I also have experience helping friends with their studies, including friends with ADHD. This has taught me the importance of being flexible and finding different ways to explain concepts, rather than expecting every student to learn in exactly the same way. I aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and taking their time to understand a topic. Whether a student is looking to build confidence, prepare for GCSE exams, or simply get to grips with a challenging subject, my goal is to make learning feel more manageable and engaging. Most importantly, I want students to leave lessons feeling not only more knowledgeable, but also more confident in their own ability to succeed.

Hi! My name is Isabella and I am an Undergraduate student at the University of Manchester, studying Politics and International Relations and progressing into second year this September. I have a successful academic record, having achieved 3 A* in History, English Literature and Sociology A-Levels. However, this was not always the case; I had achieved a C in my first history mock in Year 12 and a B in my last mock before exams in Year 13. Yet, through targeting the topics and skills that were difficult for me, I was able to improve dramatically in History, gaining exam results that were amongst the top 5 students in my year group of 139. The drastic improvements I made in History also taught me how to effectively revise for English and Sociology too. This personal experience makes me a strong tutor because I understand that successful learning does not come from passive, generic methods. I'm a highly experienced tutor, textbook writer, course designer and translator with over 11 years experience tutoring privately and through private and public schools, in person and online, in the UK and EU. My name is Samadi Narasingha, and I am a third-year Law with Politics (LLB) student at the University of Manchester. I am currently achieving a consistent first-class average across my degree, including 80 in Criminal Law, the highest mark in a cohort of around 300 students, and 72 in both Contract and Tort Law. Studying Law with Politics has strengthened my analytical writing, argumentation, and understanding of political systems. At A level, I achieved the highest mark in Politics in my cohort and the fourth highest mark in History. I achieved 80 percent in A level Politics Paper 2 and 38 out of 40 in my A level History coursework. Hi, I am Andrew, an LSE student reading history. I am a strong believer that anyone who has the right guidance and a way into a topic or subject can achieve the very best grades. Similarly, with universities I believe that my experience of getting an offer at London’s best university (8 applications per place), according to the Complete University Guide and The Times, shows the strength of my approach. As a fully qualified Tennis Coach I have considerable experience in coaching people and in communicating effectively with people, all of whom learn in different ways. Coaching tennis has taught me important time management skills, when balancing that with academic work. I achieved 10 A* at GCSE (5 at Grade 8; 5 at Grade 9) and achieved 2 A* in History and in Economics and an A in Politics at A Level. I am particularly keen to help A Level Economics student who may struggle with the longer essay response questions, especially if they come from a STEM background where essays are not the norm for assessment. I am also interested in helping A Level History and Politics students. Likewise, I feel that I have much to offer GCSE students in Geography and History where I achieved two grade 9s. Hi, I'm Oli! I've recently completed my A-levels and am currently taking a gap year before studying Physics & Philosophy at the University of Bristol. I have achieved three A*s in Physics, Maths and History at A-level, alongside nine Grade 9s and two Grade 8s at GCSE. I was also awarded the "Top Gold" award in the British Physics Olympiad, placing me among the highest-performing students nationally. I've been tutoring GCSE and A-level students for the past two years and have worked with students of different abilities and learning styles. I graduated with a First from Oxford last year for my undergraduate History BA. I am really passionate about teaching and this year I have engaged in a variety of teaching roles, including volunteering as an English teacher for 3 months in Nepal.
