Hi, I’m Iseabhail! I’m currently an undergraduate student at the University of St Andrews studying French, Arabic, and Persian. I achieved A*s in both French and English Literature at A-Level, as well as an 8 in French, and a 9 in English Literature at GCSE. I’ve focused on building a strong academic foundation that is rooted in a deep love for Literature and Modern Languages which allows me to communicate complex ideas clearly. Through my experience as a Class Rep for Persian at university, I advocate for fellow learners and bring leadership and communication directly to my tutoring. My journey began through informal tutoring and mentoring, supporting my sister, her friends, and family friends through their own exams. I’ve always believed that the best investment one can make is in learning, especially when it’s done with patience, clarity, and care. I studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bristol, earning my MEng (Integrated Master’s), but I’ve found some of my most meaningful work happens not in labs or lecture halls, but one-on-one with a student and a problem to solve. As a tutor, I’ve helped students from age 6 to 20 grow more confident in mathematics, from foundational skills all the way to A-Level, IB, and university preparation. I don’t believe in shortcuts or gimmicks. I believe in showing up, explaining things clearly, and meeting students where they are. Every student is different. My job is to listen, guide, and help them build understanding step by step. I also mentor students interested in engineering careers, drawing from my own experience in the field. And in my work with AI training, I craft and evaluate advanced mathematics content to improve how machines “think.” But whether I’m teaching a 12-year-old fractions or reviewing postgraduate-level prompts, the goal stays the same: to make the complex simple, and to help others see the beauty in problem-solving. Hello! I'm Fauresthia, I am a fully qualified secondary MFL( Modern Foreign Languages) teacher of French and Spanish. With a burning passion to inspire the next generation to embrace and discover why it is important to learn a new language. My academic journey began by being a native French speaker and receiving an A* at GCSE and an A at A-Level. I attended Manchester Metropolitan University for my undergraduate to learn French with Spanish. I was able to deepen my understanding of the cultural history and what the issues in society were in both countries via films, books and the topic of multiculturalism. In my 3rd year of university I went on my year aboard to completely immerse myself into both cultures. First I went to Reims, France for 5 months, where I taught English to primary children and toddlers at an English private school, it was a reveting experience. Later to Murcia, Spain for 6 months to the University of Murcia, where I studied travel and tourism, film studies and also additional Spanish language classes. I loved my time in Murcia, funnily enough I just didn't want to come back. I must say my year aboard truly allowed me to acquire various new skills as well as reflect on all the opportunities ahead in the field of work. Which led to me choosing to study once more after my last year of university. I decided to study a PGCE MFL French with Spanish for a year and graduated at King's College London. These achievements not only reflect my grasp of both languages but portraits my dedication and desire to speak these languages fluently as well as teaching them. Alongside my teaching, I have gained over a year of experience as a tutor. Having had the privilege of supporting students from diverse backgrounds but also GCSE and KS3 students all aiming high. My versatile teaching style is tailor-made to fit each student's unique learning style. Focusing on all 4 mfl skills (listening and reading, speaking and writing), as well as vocabulary and grammar. All in all ensuring their comfort, engagement, and evidently their success. I am a second-year undergraduate student at the University of Cambridge, studying History and French. I’m an incoming UCL Undergraduate on one of the most prestigious language courses in the world. I received A*AAA in my A-Levels, the three As being single digits below the A* grade boundary, including a 99% score in my spanish speaking exam and a 96% score in my french speaking exam. I would love to help other young students during this stressful time to take advantage of my up-to-date current affairs and essay writing knowledge, as well as the tried and tested revision methods I have learnt, which I believe are invaluable given the lack of language resources across schools in the U.K. I would focus on a student centric teaching style, incorporating much active recall for optimised learning. For Politics; we would work collaboratively to analyse recent political events and incorporate these into detailed essay plans, for Spanish and French; focussing heavily on spoken content revision and speaking technique, as well as working through resources to improve vocabulary bases and essay writing at both A-Level and GCSE. I would also be happy to mark any work completed outside of sessions and go through these together. I've been tutoring for over two years, working with students across Maths, English Language & Literature, French, Spanish and Geography. I've taught learners at different levels and stages, and I tailor my approach depending on what each subject and each student actually needs. Every student I've worked with has improved by at least one grade within 8 weeks. That includes taking students from failing GCSE Maths to passing, giving them a level of confidence in the subject they didn't have before. With languages, I've helped students who were nervous and too scared to speak go from staying silent in lessons to properly holding a conversation, simply by making mistakes feel like a normal part of learning rather than something to be afraid of. My sessions are bespoke to you rather than built around a fixed syllabus, and they adapt as you progress, so we're never working from a plan that's stopped being useful. I lean heavily on real world examples to make each subject click, because in my experience most students don't lack ability, they lack a reason to care about the material in front of them. Once that reason is there, progress tends to follow quickly. I'm trilingual, with French and Spanish to C1 level and Catalan to B2, alongside a TEFL qualification, passed with Merit.
