I have been tutoring for 2 years with a mixture of online and in-person tutoring. I am currently tutoring at GCSE, A level and Common Entrance (11+ and 13+) levels. I thoroughly enjoy tutoring and watching students become more confident and motivated in their studies through understanding the material and answering questions. I take different approaches to lessons depending on the need of the child. With some I teach the whole syllabus from start to finish, others students have specific topics they would like to go through and some solely want exam practice. I have been a Private Tutor for the last 7 years tutoring students that have been finding their GCSE and A-Level curriculum difficult. Overall, I have taught more than 100 students over the last 7 years and helped them achieve their desired grades and university. If you have the passion and desire to do well in your studies, I will help you achieve it regardless of your current grades. I have an Honours Degree from Imperial College London for BEng Joint Maths and Computer Science. I have also achieved A*A*A*A in my A-Level for Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computer Science as well as 8A*s, 3As and 1B in my GCSEs. Lesson Structure: My online lessons mainly happen through Microsoft OneNote. Every OneNote notebook I have for a student keeps track of three following parts: - a curriculum checklist to make sure our lessons are kept on track, - lesson notes to keep track of everything we worked on together, and - mini-mock exams to help students get used to exam situations. I keep my lesson from 1 to 2 hours where we use the first 30 mins to cover anything you need help with immediately. For the rest of the lesson, we work on topics that you have found challenging/difficult, making sure we are on top of everything covered in school. If we have managed to cover all of those topics, we move on to topics that will be covered in school. This will help give the student a head start and stay ahead of your class which will help make school lessons easier. Furthermore, I like to keep students on track with their independent studying outside of our lessons by giving mini-mock exams approximately every 2 months (given we do lessons twice a week). These mini-mock exams help students get acclimatised to exam situations and provide motivation for students to do independent studying outside school and our private lessons. Each mini-mock contains exam-style questions with a couple of difficult/tricky questions to help students prepare for the worst-case scenario when it comes to the actual exam they will be sitting. If needed, I provide proper mock exams to help recreate an exam situation to help students gauge their shortcomings and help them improve themselves.

Hello! I’m Koby and am a 3rd year medical student at the University of Cambridge. With over 5 years of tutoring experience, I focus on a holistic, engaging and student-centric approach to teaching, whilst sharing my passion and love for learning! Understanding a topic is one thing but understanding what the examiners are looking for can sometimes be a whole other issue. Using my experience, I tailor my lessons to the student’s needs to help them achieve both, whilst utilising my extensive bank of exam questions to guide the student with worked examples and build their confidence. I also share effective learning strategies and tips that make learning enjoyable and easier. This has helped many of my students achieve top grades and personally helped me achieve 10A*’s at (I)GCSE and 4A*’s at A-Level/Pre-U in Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Biology. Hence, I specialise in teaching these subjects for students of all levels and ages. As well as cracking the code to exam technique, I am happy to mentor students applying for Medicine or Oxbridge. In my free time, I am an avid chess player (9x British Chess Champion who has represented England in the World Youth Championships) and sports and music enthusiast. Hello! My name is Gavindu and I'm currently doing an Integrated Masters in Computer Science at the University of York. I have been tutoring for 2.5 years in Maths and Computer Science, as well as being a programming tutor for CodeNinjas. I have completed formal training in tutoring and have a lot of experience tutoring children with special needs. My teaching style consists more of building the child's interest in the subject, rather than teaching the content for the sake of it, since interest is what helps understanding and inspires further learning. With that, my lessons will be fun and engaging while being fully informative, as the lessons will be based fully on the exam specification. As for my results, I have achieved 9's in Maths, Computer Science, Music and all sciences. I also achieved an A* in Computer Science at A level and a few marks off an A* in maths. I have also completed grade 8 and 7 in piano and guitar, winning a formal competition for piano in the process.
