I am an aspiring doctor and enthusiastic learner. I have experience of teaching pupils from different age groups and abilities. Based on that, I am confident in working with all young people. My teaching style prioritises engagement with students to enable their understanding and application of knowledge, concepts and processes. Hello, my name is Dominic and I am currently studying Biochemistry at University. My passion for this subject comes from combining my two favourite subjects from school - biology and chemistry - which allows me to explore how the human body works and why it works in the way it does. As a former participant in a tutoring programme, I understand the value of personalised support and guidance. I aim to share my experiences and knowledge with my students, and help them achieve their academic goals. Having been through the same experiences as my students, I can certainly empathise with the pressures that arise during the lead-up to exams and the exam period itself. My approach to tutoring is to begin by reviewing the content of the subject in question, ensuring that the student has a solid understanding of the material. I then help students understand how the content will be examined, showing the types of questions that will be asked and offering advice on exam technique, including how to recognise common tricks that exams use. Finally, I provide targeted support for specific exams, reviewing in-class tests or mock exams, and answering any questions the student has about the subject. Hello! I’m Koby and am a 3rd year medical student at the University of Cambridge. With over 5 years of tutoring experience, I focus on a holistic, engaging and student-centric approach to teaching, whilst sharing my passion and love for learning! Understanding a topic is one thing but understanding what the examiners are looking for can sometimes be a whole other issue. Using my experience, I tailor my lessons to the student’s needs to help them achieve both, whilst utilising my extensive bank of exam questions to guide the student with worked examples and build their confidence. I also share effective learning strategies and tips that make learning enjoyable and easier. This has helped many of my students achieve top grades and personally helped me achieve 10A*’s at (I)GCSE and 4A*’s at A-Level/Pre-U in Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Biology. Hence, I specialise in teaching these subjects for students of all levels and ages. As well as cracking the code to exam technique, I am happy to mentor students applying for Medicine or Oxbridge.
