Hi I'm Rosie, I completed my A Levels in the summer of 2024 and am now studying Medicine at the University of Exeter. I achieved high grades in my GCSEs (eight grade 9s & two grade 8s) and A Levels (A*AA in biology, chemistry and geography) and balanced my academic studies alongside my hobbies of rowing and music :) Throughout GCSEs and A Levels, I was tested by many challenging concepts and exam questions... at times this was frustrating!! However, it led me to develop a large variety of strategies for breaking down and understanding difficult content. As a tutor, I will share these techniques & resources to help students overcome their own barriers to schoolwork or exam revision. Having delivered 2,000+ lessons, I’ve learnt that knowing a subject isn’t enough to teach it well. A good tutor needs to understand the individual student and be able to adapt until a difficult concept finally clicks. Hi! I’m a first-year Medical Student at the University of Birmingham, tutoring A Level Biology, Chemistry and Maths, as well as GCSE Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths. Having recently completed my own GCSEs and A Levels, I know how stressful it can be when a topic just doesn’t seem to click, or when you understand the content but struggle to apply it in exam questions. I remember experiencing this myself, and I know how much easier learning can feel when someone explains things in a way that works for you. I achieved 10 GCSEs, all at grades 8–9, including a 9 in Further Maths, and achieved A*–A grades in A Level Maths, Biology, Chemistry and my EPQ. I’ve also gained experience through peer mentoring, where I’ve supported students with different abilities, learning styles and levels of confidence. I don’t believe there is one way to learn, so I adapt my lessons to each student.
