Hi! I am Daniel - a medical student studying at Imperial College London. I have been tutoring for over 4 years now at 2 different centres and really developed a passion for this career. From the past, students have described my lessons as engaging, visual with images and exam question heavy. From my experience at GCSE receiving 11 grade 9s and A*’s at A level, I have applied my personal revision techniques into my teaching as one thing I have witnessed is top grades is not only about learning the content but actually more about exam technique. And as your tutor I will helping your child master BOTH of these with some tricks I used in exams to get the highest mark on Biology in my school for A level. In terms of how my lessons are structured, it would be very dynamic based on the students needs where I would message them for their specification point they want covered in the lesson the day before, allowing me to prepare images and questions I will use in the lesson. I would also set homework and these would be aligned exactly with their specification which would make sure they have mastered that topic. Furthermore to this, I am happy with mentoring students that are applying to medicine having been through the rigorous process myself and giving my tips and tricks for admissions exams (BMAT and UCAT) as well as interviews, having received offers from Imperial, UCL and Cambridge Summer pool.
