Hello, my name is Hafsah and I'm a recent graduate in Medical Genetics from Queen Mary University of London and I would love to be your tutor. Outside of tutoring I enjoy reading, painting and deepening my knowledge in biology. As a tutor with a passion for teaching I believe that confidence is a huge factor in attaining high grades as well as succeeding in life. Instilling self-confidence in a student is one of my main goals when tutoring a student as I believe it leads to love for learning. I also value curiosity in students and encourage my students to always ask questions. I have experience in tutoring students for GCSE in Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics and A level Maths. I am familiar with the 11+ curriculum and I have teaching assistant experience with students at KS1-3 levels. My main form of teaching is through (exam-style) questions, leading to past paper questions eventually once the student is consistently getting questions correct for each topic. Additionally, I fully understand that every student has a unique learning style and I aim to tailor my tutoring to match the student.

Hi! I'm Keerthana, a 3rd year aerospace engineering student at the University of Nottingham. I have been formally tutoring for the past year and a half, and in this time I have had a rewarding journey of teaching and connecting with students from different backgrounds all brought together by the exams they're taking. Meanwhile, my informal experience of tutoring stems from teaching my cousins, which was a rewarding journey that allowed me to sharpen my patience and creativity. Along the way, I've discovered that the ability to tailor explanations to students is just as important as the knowledge itself. When I was doing my (I)GCSE and IB, I found questions easier to solve when I understood my concepts c . Even the littlest missing pieces of knowledge made a huge difference to me. So, as a tutor, my first goal would be ensure that my students have a strong understanding of the topic. To strengthen their knowledge, I would also work through many exam questions with them, as they are the key to being confident during the actual exam. As an aerospace engineering major, I've had to build a strong base in my Maths, Physics, and Chemistry, which is why those are the subjects I mainly specialise in. Aside from my academics, I am an artist with a passion for capturing stunning landscapes in my paintings. Hi! I am Daniel - a medical student studying at Imperial College London. I have been tutoring for over 4 years now at 2 different centres and really developed a passion for this career. From the past, students have described my lessons as engaging, visual with images and exam question heavy. From my experience at GCSE receiving 11 grade 9s and A*’s at A level, I have applied my personal revision techniques into my teaching as one thing I have witnessed is top grades is not only about learning the content but actually more about exam technique. And as your tutor I will helping your child master BOTH of these with some tricks I used in exams to get the highest mark on Biology in my school for A level. In terms of how my lessons are structured, it would be very dynamic based on the students needs where I would message them for their specification point they want covered in the lesson the day before, allowing me to prepare images and questions I will use in the lesson. I would also set homework and these would be aligned exactly with their specification which would make sure they have mastered that topic. Furthermore to this, I am happy with mentoring students that are applying to medicine having been through the rigorous process myself and giving my tips and tricks for admissions exams (BMAT and UCAT) as well as interviews, having received offers from Imperial, UCL and Cambridge Summer pool.
