Hi There! I'm Zoya and I was Head Girl at St. Dominic's Sixth Form College. During my time I consistently worked as a bridge between peers and the teaching staff/Governing body of the sixth form. I networked with politicians, dentists, doctors and set up opportunities such as Hustings events or talks with peers of the House of Lords to assist my peers, and would love to continue to do the same. At A-Level I achieved A* (English Literature), A (Law) and B (Politics), the subject I am currently studying at University Level. I have experience tutoring my peers from as young as year 4, and have always been a reliable choice for explaining concepts well and more. I know what it's like to feel lost in the classroom and unsure of how to ask, so knowing that my tutoring style would be welcoming to all questions, with the aim of being clear and flexible with my pace. I did receive an offer from Trinity College, Cambridge and would love to additionally help others on their UCAS journey's with personal statements, applications and interview practise. I fully understand the pressure of it all and would hope to be a friendly but firm ally during that time for another prospective Oxbridge student. I enjoy tutoring above all and I feel that's something that would shine through during sessions. I would be a punctual, flexible and reliable candidate, over-prepared for all sessions and enthusiastic. Thank you for taking the time to consider me!

Hi, I’m Raina! I’m a final-year Law student at the University of York, set to graduate with a 2:1, and I bring over 2.5 years of tutoring experience in GCSE English Literature, A-Level Sociology, and A-Level Politics. Academically, I achieved top results—9s in both GCSE English Literature and English Language, and AAA at A-Level, with A*s in Sociology and Politics, and an A in English Literature. I use that subject expertise to help students unlock their academic potential through high-impact, exam-focused tutoring. My sessions are grounded in real exam practice, using past papers, personalised questions, and tailored homework to build confidence and critical thinking—key skills for success at GCSE, A-Level, and beyond. I believe that knowing content is only half the battle; being able to apply that knowledge effectively under exam conditions is what gets top grades. What sets me apart is my ability to explain complex ideas in a clear, engaging way that works across all exam boards. I make sure every student understands why what they’re learning matters, while giving them the practical skills to answer any question that comes their way. Beyond academics, I’ve worked closely with teenagers for over three years, including mentoring sixth-form students, supporting neurodivergent learners, and helping young people transition from sixth form to university. I’m DBS-checked and take a supportive, pastoral approach to tutoring—your child will always feel safe, heard, and encouraged. In my free time, I write and study poetry (I'm a published poet!), and I bring that love of critical thinking and creative expression into each session. Whether your child needs to boost their exam performance, deepen their subject knowledge, or prepare for the next stage in their education, I’m here to guide them every step of the way.

Hello! I’m a final-year medical student at Imperial College London with an intercalated degree in Global Health Research. I bring over five years of tutoring experience, having supported school students in Maths and Chemistry, as well as high school students applying to medical schools across the UK. Beyond one-on-one tutoring, I’ve also worked as a personal trainer and have volunteered to successfully organise pre-clinical and clinical revision courses, as well as exam support tutorials for Years 1 to 3 of medical school—benefiting more than 200 students. These experiences have taught me which teaching and revision techniques are most effective, and I’m grateful to have consistently received positive feedback. I also have extensive experience in Research as a student, having published two articles in the past, and presented in three international conferences. I’m also passionate about mentoring students in choosing degree paths that genuinely suit their interests and long-term goals. Over the past four years, I’ve taken courses in career planning—including one focused on identifying high-impact, health-related careers—and have engaged in extensive reading on the topic. Whether you’re looking for personalised revision strategies, support preparing for university interviews, or guidance in finding a fulfilling career path, I’d love to help you achieve both your personal and professional goals. Finally, as both an athlete and an international student who is studying in a second language, I truly understand the challenges of balancing academic life with personal goals, and well-being. I’ve developed tools and techniques to manage my time effectively, ensuring space for both productivity and self-care—and I’m happy to share those with you too!

I am a highly experienced English tutor with over five years of teaching both English Language and Literature across all levels and major exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel, WJEC, OCR, and IB. I have worked with students of all ages—from children to adults—both individually and in groups. In addition to academic tutoring, I also teach English as a second language. I have taught learners from across the world, including China, Hong Kong, and Poland. I provide tailored support for non-native speakers, from structured lessons to high-level conversational practice designed to mirror native speaker fluency. Whether supporting young learners or adult professionals, I help students gain confidence, accuracy, and natural flow in their spoken and written English. My sessions are interactive, engaging, and adapted to each student’s needs. I provide all necessary materials, offer written feedback on every homework assignment, and maintain detailed lesson notes to track progress. Parents receive regular updates to ensure transparency and consistent development. Academically, I hold two First-Class degrees from Russell Group universities: a BA (Hons) in English Language and Literature from the University of Edinburgh (2020), and an MA in Shakespeare Studies (Distinction) from King’s College London, delivered in collaboration with Shakespeare’s Globe. During my undergraduate studies, I led the Peer-Assisted Learning Scheme (PALS) for English Literature students at the University of Edinburgh. Since 2021, I have worked at King’s College London and also work as a freelance writer. My strong academic foundation, global teaching experience, and commitment to student success allow me to support learners in achieving excellent results and developing a genuine appreciation for English.

Most students don’t dislike learning — they just haven’t seen how it connects to real life yet. That’s where I come in. I teach English Language, Economics and Fine Art in ways that make all three click: grounded in clarity, practicality, and curiosity. Because learning becomes fun — and memorable — when you’re genuinely interested. I graduated with a BSc in Management (2:1) from the University of Warwick (Warwick Business School), after achieving A*s in both Fine Art and Economics at A-Level, and ten GCSEs graded A–A*. My third A-Level was in Maths, in which I achieved an A. Those years taught me that the difference between confusion and confidence is often just one good explanation — applied to the real world — and a little patience. In Economics, I draw from real-world examples — from running my own boutique consultancy to lessons shared by the serial entrepreneurs of, 7- and 8-figure brands, who’ve mentored me over the last 5+ years. Theory becomes tangible when you can see how it shows up in business and everyday decisions alike. In Fine Art, I specialise in charcoal — exploring light, depth, and composition. I help students develop the discipline and observation that turns good work into great work. A-Level Fine Art demands both quality and quantity, so I help students build systems that support both. My approach is simple: meet students where they are, make the subject make sense, and build genuine confidence along the way.

Very big improvement given a short period of time with only a small time period of about 3 months my daughter in year 10 has gone from a level U to a level 4 in her maths grade with her tutor Jose. He is a very good maths teacher and has very easy ways of doing hard GCSE maths. What my daughter used to find immensely hard is now very easy. Jose is sadly not her tutor anymore but this was a very great experience and will be looking forward to using this company again for my daughter to get high grades and pass her GCSE’s thank you very much.

Excellent service, highly recommented Booked a block of Lessons leading up to my sons maths exam as maths was his weakest subject and he felt he wanted help. Pia (the tutor) was patient and professional and explained things in a way my son could easily understand. He looked forward to each lesson and felt the lessons gave him the confidence, knowledge and understanding he needed to face his maths GCSE exam. He thinks he did really well in his first exam and we are so pleased we invested in the lessons leading up to his GCSE’s. Can’t recommend Edumentors and Pia enough. Really professional service and well worth the money.

The tutoring times were really flexible and the tutor themselves (Izzy Mitchell) was amazing. The level of communication allowed between the student and tutor made it easy for my questions to be answered quickly. So thank you so much Edumentors and Izzy! Personally, I went from a 6 to a 9 in AQA English literature in just a few weeks so if you are thinking about it, give it a go!

Absolutely superb. Helped my son move from a predicted D in Maths to an actual A, in year. Highly recommend both Edumentors and specifically Apoorv as a tutor. It was easy to set-up, pay and manage. Any issues were solved quickly and without fuss.

Fantastic Flexible German Tutoring We had Imogen from Edumentor tutoring my daughter for GCSE’s. Imogen is a fantastic tutor and through the year prepared my daughter enabling her to get a 9 in German. Edumentor were extremely flexible and helpful in ensuring we could have the sessions when we needed them the most. I would throughly recommend using them for your GCSE tutoring.

Need an English Language Tutor to Help Your Child Succeed?

The English Language can feel difficult when students are expected to explain how language works, not just use it. Tasks often involve analysing different unseen texts, structuring responses clearly and writing with purpose, which can make progress feel inconsistent.

At this stage, parents often begin exploring support options. Some look for an A-Level English tutor to focus on advanced skills, while others consider English Literature tutors online or an A-Level English Literature tutor when working across both subjects. For earlier support, a GCSE English tutor can help build stronger foundations before moving to higher levels.

With different approaches available, it helps to understand what kind of support will make the biggest difference.
