I graduated with a First from Oxford last year for my undergraduate History BA. I am really passionate about teaching and this year I have engaged in a variety of teaching roles, including volunteering as an English teacher for 3 months in Nepal. I have tutored History and Geography A level, alongside English Lit and Language GCSE for over 3 years. My tutoring style primarily revolves around teaching technique based essay writing improvements, and my students are able to massively boost their academic performance by focusing on these core skills. I am keen to provide a personalised experience tailored to each individual student which best suits their individual needs and learning approach. As a graduate in History, I am extremely experienced in essay writing (having to had to write weekly essays over 3 years). Thus I am well equipped to provide useful feedback and tips for any aspiring humanities student. I always like to be available to any of my students outside of sessions in case they have any queries or requests for content.

Hi, I am Andrew, a second year LSE student reading history. I am a strong believer that anyone who has the right guidance and a way into a topic or subject can achieve the very best grades. Similarly, with universities I believe that my experience of getting an offer at London’s best university (8 applications per place), according to the Complete University Guide and The Times, shows the strength of my approach. As a fully qualified Tennis Coach I have considerable experience in coaching people and in communicating effectively with people, all of whom learn in different ways. Coaching tennis has taught me important time management skills, when balancing that with academic work. I achieved 10 A* at GCSE (5 at Grade 8; 5 at Grade 9) and achieved 2 A* in History and in Economics and an A in Politics at A Level. I am particularly keen to help A Level Economics student who may struggle with the longer essay response questions, especially if they come from a STEM background where essays are not the norm for assessment. I am also interested in helping A Level History and Politics students. Likewise, I feel that I have much to offer GCSE students in Geography and History where I achieved two grade 9s. Moreover, I am also happy to help with university applications and to offer guidance over which course is best suited. I am happy to adapt to whichever learning style suits you best. My experience with coaching and over a year tutoring has helped me to become very adaptable.

Hi, I'm Darcy! I read History at the University of Edinburgh and am currently on my 3rd year, studying abroad. I have worked with children for many years, starting as a swimming teacher 5 years ago and since then have relished each opportunity to help each and every child reach their potential. I am passionate about education and think it is vital to understand what a student and their parents wish to gain from tutoring. I like to tailor each session to a pupil's needs by understanding their strengths and weaknesses as well as developing learning practices that are applicable in all aspects of academic life. Personally, I achieved nine grade 9s at GCSE level, then in 6th form I studied the IB diploma, gaining 44/45 points, with 7s in higher level History, English, and Spanish.
