Hi, my name is Zac and I am a Physics (BSc) graduate from the University of Warwick. I have always loved studying Physics and Maths and have over 5 years and 300 lessons experience as a Maths tutor, both in secondary school and privately at GCSE and A-Level. My teaching style is enthusiastic and engaging yet focused to create lessons that are enjoyable and effective. To achieve this each lesson is carefully planned with the student at the forefront, taking their goals, strengths, weaknesses and preferred teaching styles into account. Someone striving for academic excellence, for example, but sitting below their potential, may benefit from a confidence boost, leaving the sessions with a strong belief that they can achieve their goals and a clear path leading them there. In the case of students aiming for success in specific exams, exam technique is often incredibly important. My bank of resources and practice questions are crucial here and allowed me to achieve 9s in maths and physics GCSE and A*s in maths and physics at A-Level. Therefore, whether you're looking for some extra help keeping up with schoolwork throughout the year, a summer catch-up before starting your GCSEs or A-Levels, or an intensive revision guide leading up to exams, the lessons will be individually tailored to you. Outside of teaching I love sports, taking a role as general secretary for the University of Warwick Men's Cricket Club while playing in the 1st XI. I am an aspiring doctor and enthusiastic learner. I have experience of teaching pupils from different age groups and abilities. Based on that, I am confident in working with all young people. My teaching style prioritises engagement with students to enable their understanding and application of knowledge, concepts and processes. My teaching is highly student-centred and driven, to ensure lessons are structured to suit your abilities and personal preferences. During my lessons, I will develop a supportive and open environment where students can excel. This will help my students to become confident and independent learners. I use a variety of interactive teaching methods such as brainstorming to allow the students to push themselves and take on the challenge. It will be good practice when dealing with exam questions. I pay attention to make students all-rounder learners and will help them to develop subject specific revision methods, time management, planning and study skills.  Being a student myself, I am up to date and well informed with the exam specifications and strategies to answer exam questions. This allows me to broaden my approaches when conceptualising ideas. I am friendly and creative, so students will have an enjoyable session with me. Apart from teaching, I am mostly reading scientific and non-fiction. I enjoy exploring nature and cycling too.

I have over 8 years of teaching experience, where I have taught both classes (of sizes up to 12 students) and individual lessons (150+ students).
