I have been tutoring for 2 years with a mixture of online and in-person tutoring. I am currently tutoring at GCSE, A level and Common Entrance (11+ and 13+) levels. I thoroughly enjoy tutoring and watching students become more confident and motivated in their studies through understanding the material and answering questions. I take different approaches to lessons depending on the need of the child. With some I teach the whole syllabus from start to finish, others students have specific topics they would like to go through and some solely want exam practice. Hi there! My name is Clara and I currently study Philosophy at St Andrews University. My life-long passion for reading has led to me becoming an English tutor (as well as teaching other humanities subjects!) I believe that the benefits of tutoring go beyond earning high exam results. While this is certainly the goal, looking beyond exams by inspiring a love for learning is one of my priorities. This principle is carried throughout my tutoring sessions; my main goal being finding a way for each student to learn to enjoy subjects that they may be initially wary about.
