Hi, I’m Sameeha and I’m a 2nd year Philosophy and Global Sustainable Development student at the University of Warwick. Having tutored my friends informally, I have been able to develop a student centred approach in my teaching, because not every person learns the same. Moreover, from this experience I was able to develop both a deeper understanding of the topics I was teaching, and I was also able to develop exam skills and link back what we learnt specifically to exam techniques and the assessment objectives that examples would use in our final exams. In my GCSE’s I achieved the following grades of : A 988887766 In my AS-Level’s I achieved : AAAA. And in my A-Level’s I achieved AAB.

I am a Politics and International relations student with a strong passion for history. I am very capable of passing on my own skills having achieved an A in history A-level and an A* in Sociology A-Level. I take my love of history into my University studies and I am planning to write a historical dissertation in my next year of uni.

I have been able to achieve an A* in English Literature and 9 in GCSE English-Literature after struggling to get passed D/C's initially at the start of those educational milestones. I have mulitple years of tutoring experience, both within a tutoring centre and independently. While working at TOP LEARNING (Sept 2022 – March 2023), I supported students from Year 1 to Year 11 through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions, tailoring my approach to different learning styles and confidence levels. I particularly enjoyed helping students build self-belief alongside academic skills, especially in GCSE English, as well as Maths and English at primary level. I have tutored independently on an ad hoc basis, including voluntary A-Level English Literature support. Most recently, I worked closely with a student through the final stages of her A-Levels and saw her progress from a predicted D to a just 1 mark off a B in English Literature, which reinforced for me how personalised teaching and encouragement can make a real difference. I would also love to tutor LNAT lessons. I have had 2 years of mentoring students, supporting with applications and answering questions as a Sutton Trust Pathways to Law Mentor during my where I won an Outstanding Contribution Award (2026). The students were supported from year 12 to year 13 where they ended the tenure listening to a speech I was invited to give that enabled the students to gracefully close that chapter of their lives. Pouring into those younger than me has always been a passion of mine that I have invested in and learned to grow in this area.

Hello! I'm Jaheem, and I recently graduated from the University of Cambridge with a B.A. in Education, Psychology and Learning. I achieved an Upper Second Class degree, complementing my A-Level results of three A*s in Psychology, History, and Sociology.

My degree in Education, Psychology and Learning is my passion because it gives me the framework to understand why a student may be struggling—be it a cognitive block, a psychological hurdle, or a learning difference. I'm trained to go beyond just teaching the content and to understand the science of learning itself

My current role as a Tutor Fellow is the core of my teaching credibility. I am actively on the ground, delivering 10 structured sessions per week based on researched and synthesized evidence-based techniques to accelerate student progress. Crucially, I provide one-to-one interventions for 9 students daily, which is specifically designed to enable those with disrupted learning to re-engage. This means that, I have practical, recent experience in supporting diverse needs, as I coordinate with over 50 staff to deliver cohesive strategies for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

I have been a GCSE English Literature and English Language tutor for over four years. Attending Cambridge University I have always thrived and enjoyed learning, tutoring helps me channel this passion as I teach to help others find pleasure in subjects, I myself, adore. In line with my degree in Human, Social and Political sciences, my teaching methods follow a critical pedagogical approach- this essentially means I aim to teach the critical thinking skills needed for a student to learn and analyse independently- this is a muscle which needs training and cultivating. A part of the fun for me is learning about the student themselves, allowing me to tailor each lesson to each individual. I have my own mnemonic techniques to help structure and guide memory and learning, specifically using recall and colour for students who find memory particularly difficult. This approach expands to aid the learning of students with special educational needs including Dyslexia, ADHD, and Autism, which I am personally equipped and experienced to tutor. As long as the student is open to learning, my lessons will be taught according to how you learn: some students are more visual, some need writing practice, some need supervised study, some need structure, ALL need the skills to critically think as this will EXPONENTIALLY benefit your child in other subjects and areas of life. The subjects I specialise in and teach at all levels are: English Literature and Language, Politics, and Sociology. The more time I have to tutor the more I can guarantee results, so I strongly advise double sessions to get the most out of the time spent together. Further on this point, if our sessions begin 1-2 months before exams realistically we will need more than a double session a week. I was able to get a student to a grade 9 in his English Lit exam last year starting only a month before, however we had 6 hours of tutoring a week.
