Hi, I’m Larissa! I’m a naturally chatty, friendly and supportive person who loves helping students feel more confident in their abilities. For me, tutoring is about helping students work towards the grades they’re aiming for while also building their understanding, confidence and enjoyment of the subject. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and find an approach that works best for them. I’ve supported younger students during sixth form as well as tutoring my younger brother and family friends’ children. One of the things I’ve really enjoyed is seeing students become more confident as they start to understand a topic that they initially found difficult. Being able to make that difference is a big part of why I love tutoring. Academically, I achieved an A* in English Literature and Language A Level, an A in Psychology and Grade 8s in the GCSE subjects I tutor. I’m now in my second year of university studying English Literature and Film Studies and I’m working towards a first class degree. I know that every student is different, so I like to keep lessons relaxed and encouraging while making sure they are tailored to each individual student. I am Jana a first year pharmacy student at UCL. I am conscientious and ready to work hard to help students achieve their academic goals. I have a strong passion for Biology, Chemistry and Psychology and I have achieved grades A*A*A in Psychology, Biology and Chemistry A levels, as well as an A* in EPQ.
