Hi! I'm Oscar and I'm a second-year student at the University of Warwick studying Computer Science. Having been through the pressure of GCSEs, A-levels and UCAS I understand the pressures students are facing and have a relaxed but careful approach to tutoring. This includes ensuring content is thoroughly understood through many examples and exam questions, as well as focusing on exam technique by utilizing examiner's reports and mark schemes that exam boards provide to ensure students write the best answers possible. My experience using these methods is extensive - enabling me to score 9 9s in my GCSEs and 3 A*s at A-level in Geography, Biology and Mathematics (as well as full marks in a software-related EPQ), I look to educate students not just on the subject content but also help them learn exceptional exam technique to reduce their stress during exams. I have taught over 500 sessions and have helped many students go up several grade boundaries in their exams. Hi! I'm Keerthana, a 3rd year aerospace engineering student at the University of Nottingham. I have been formally tutoring for the past year and a half, and in this time I have had a rewarding journey of teaching and connecting with students from different backgrounds all brought together by the exams they're taking. Meanwhile, my informal experience of tutoring stems from teaching my cousins, which was a rewarding journey that allowed me to sharpen my patience and creativity. Along the way, I've discovered that the ability to tailor explanations to students is just as important as the knowledge itself. When I was doing my (I)GCSE and IB, I found questions easier to solve when I understood my concepts c . Even the littlest missing pieces of knowledge made a huge difference to me. I have been a Private Tutor for the last 7 years tutoring students that have been finding their GCSE and A-Level curriculum difficult. Overall, I have taught more than 100 students over the last 7 years and helped them achieve their desired grades and university. I have an Honours Degree from Imperial College London for BEng Joint Maths and Computer Science. Lesson Structure: My online lessons mainly happen through Microsoft OneNote. Every OneNote notebook I have for a student keeps track of three following parts: - a curriculum checklist to make sure our lessons are kept on track, - lesson notes to keep track of everything we worked on together, and - mini-mock exams to help students get used to exam situations. I keep my lesson from 1 to 2 hours where we use the first 30 mins to cover anything you need help with immediately. For the rest of the lesson, we work on topics that you have found challenging/difficult, making sure we are on top of everything covered in school. If we have managed to cover all of those topics, we move on to topics that will be covered in school. This will help give the student a head start and stay ahead of your class which will help make school lessons easier. Furthermore, I like to keep students on track with their independent studying outside of our lessons by giving mini-mock exams approximately every 2 months (given we do lessons twice a week). These mini-mock exams help students get acclimatised to exam situations and provide motivation for students to do independent studying outside school and our private lessons. Each mini-mock contains exam-style questions with a couple of difficult/tricky questions to help students prepare for the worst-case scenario when it comes to the actual exam they will be sitting. If needed, I provide proper mock exams to help recreate an exam situation to help students gauge their shortcomings and help them improve themselves.

From a young age, I have always been fascinated with numbers and mathematics in general. I participated in the UKMT Maths Challenges from Year 7 to Year 13, where I was awarded with a Bronze, Silver or Gold certificate. I was also ranked as the ‘Best In the Year’ for two consecutive years, and ‘Best In the School’ in Year 10. I was awarded a grade 9 in GCSE Mathematics. In Year 11, I was also awarded a certificate in a Level 3 Algebra with 91%. At the end of Year 13, I achieved A*s in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Computer Science and an A in Physics. I was awarded my school’s ‘Governors Leaving Award/A P Lawrence Memorial Prize for Mathematics’ and the ‘Prize for Computing Studies’.
